Passionettes Mini Spring Blog Hop

This is the first time I've taken part in a blog hop so do hope you like what you see! You will have come from
the lovely and talented Monica who has organised this.

I don't normally post scrapbook pages on my blogs but when I saw these new papers and stamps in the Mini Catty they screamed scrapbook at me! I thought the stamps were perfect for embellishments. So this is my first project for the blog hop we're having. I used More Mustard, Baja Breeze Soft Suede and Very Vanilla cardstock, the new Spice Cake papers and Spiced Paisley Stamp sets. The embellishments were coloured with the same colours of markers having been stamped with Soft Suede.

My second project is a birthday card for a friend who's birthday is next week. I know she won't see it as she doesn't look at blogs! Again I use the lovely Spice Cake papers. This time I teamed them with Soft Suede and Baja Breeze cardstock. The base of the card is River Rock but it only shows when the card is folded. I eembossed the Top Note die shape with the Square Lattice embossing folder. The two corner embellishments are cut out of the paper, added some Crumb Cake seam binding and an antique brad. The sentiment was stamped in Baja Breeze and is from anothe new set and punched out with the large oval and scalloped oval punches. Do hope you've enjoyed looking at them and now you should hop over to  see what gorgeous projects Debbie has to show you.
