Less is More - Mint Chocolate!

Well I'm finally back after quite a few days feeling dreadful! I've even managed a short time in the craft room as I had an idea for the Less is More challenge floating around in my head all the time I was feeling poorly! I have to say though that the finished cards are not quite as they were in my head! I made the green background by inking my acrylic block, spritzing lightly with water then stamping on the card. There were quite a few failed attempts too. My original idea was to make a square background using a smaller block 4 times and overlapping them - didn't work! Watercolour paper was a fail as well. Eventually I got two that I thought would work with the leaves.

I used Lucky Limeade (retired) for the background and the leaves were stamped with a Memento Brilliance pad. The leaves are from the retired Fabulous Florets stamp set which I bought when it was on the retired list and until now had never been used. So as well as LIM I'm also taking this one over to join in Darnell's NBUS challenge.

Same colours here on the second one but the stamp is from the Kinda Eclectic set. I do love those leaves! It looks as though the panel is not centred vertically, I can assure you it is - it's just my rubbish photography!

  5. First of all, Sue, I'm so sorry to hear that you've been ill for such a long time. I hope you are 100% now and I'm delighted that you felt like being crafty. I think these lush lime and chocolate cards are sensational! It's frustrating that it took a few tries with the spritzing technique, but these results are fantastic and really perfect for the background for those leaves! Two very organic cards! Thank you so much for playing in my second NBUS Challenge! Hugs, Darnell
