Happy Little Stampers - Watercolour

Another month has flown by and it's time for a new challenge at Happy Little Stampers. The first one of course is the Watercolour Challenge. An easy optional twist as well!

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.
IF YOU USE STAMPS BY HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS AND YOU ARE OUR RANDOM WINNER, YOUR PRIZE WILL BE DOUBLED!

I decided to use NBUS stamp from Simon Says Stamp, which I had been wanting to use. I stamped
and coloured it with SU markers and a water brush. So far so good but thought a few splatters would add some interest, so added some gold ones which I promptly smudged. Rather than completely start again I fussy cut the flowers - it would probably have been quicker to stamp and paint again! Then stuck it to a white card blank and added the sentiment. I still think it needs some splatters, but have decided not to tempt fate again!

  4. Beautiful stamp and beautifully coloured Sue. Love the border edges on your card and your simple sentiment is a great finisher. Shame about the splatters. They certainly can be hit and miss.

  5. I actually love with watercolouring, that if you make a mistake you can fussy cut and keep your work. This is beautiful Sue! xx

  6. LOL! I have so often ruined a card with splatters! I'm glad you could save these beautiful flowers by fussy cutting!

  7. A completely different interpretation of this stamp, but just as beautiful as the Angie card. I love white background, your flowers contrast with it great.
