Twofer Challenge

Every month I mean to enter Darnell's Twofer challenge and I think so far I've only managed it once! But this month I'm squeezing in at almost the last minute. The cue word is garden which made me think of the stamp from Little Claire (sadly no longer trading).

My first card is a sympathy card. Sadly I needed one recently for a crafting friend who died very suddenly and unexpectedly, and realise my box was empty and I do like to have at least one on standby.
I stamped simply in black and heat embossed it with clear powder. Diecut the image panel and mat with, I think, MFT dies.

My second card is a bit more cheerful. Again I stamped and heat embossed then coloured with distress markers. The sentiment is from Uniko.

And here are the cards  side by side.

  2. That is a great garden image, Sue! I'm sorry to hear about the unexpected death of your crafty friend. Your sympathy card is so pretty and serene and I'm sure it brought her family comfort. I love the pretty colors of your second birthday card and the great matting you created! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #18! Hugs, Darnell

  6. Love your twofers Sue! Your sympathy is just so peaceful. To many of us need a sympathy card lately it seems. I was looking at a die in that shape just yesterday as well. I love how it looks on your card. Your twofer is so pretty being colored. I love this stamp, to bad it is retired. Great job on both twofers Sue! Hugs, Brenda

Your colourful floral garden is a delight ... puts me in mind of a dreamy country cottage ... I can almost see those flowers drifting in a gentle breeze! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)

  10. Both these cards are great but I really like the sympathy card. It is always sad if you need one and if you do it is important that it is a good one and this certainly is. Your friends family will be touched xx
