Copper Anniversary

It was our seventh wedding anniversary towards the end of last year and apparently that is copper. This is the card I made for hubby, using copper card and seven hearts. Needless to say I had to point all that out to him! Men!!

The large heart was a freebie die from a magazine quite some time ago, the little hearts were punched out using the Stampin Up owl punch.

Hearts

There's a lot of challenges in blogland at the moment with a 'heart' theme in honour of Valentine's Day. I chose to be different and made an anniversary card instead!

I used an embossing folder with small hearts - unfortunately I can't remember the make and the name isn't printed on it. The die cut hearts in black and gold are from Tim Holtz.

Silver Wedding

First of all I was deeply saddened this week to learn of the untimely death of a blogging friend, Kath of Plain and Simple. She made beautiful cards, very often floral and paperpieced. She was a long term commenter on my blog, having comented on almost every post over the last few years.  She will be sadly missed in blogland.

R.I.P Kath xx

Now onto a card I made for a friend's silver wedding earlier this month. I went for elegant and understated and hope I managed to achieve it!

The background stamp is yet another NBUS from Simon Says Stamp, Inked and stamped in silver using the Misti . The numbers are SU dies which I cut out three ties and layered up to make them stand out. I am sharing with NBUS challenge and Try it on Tuesday

HLS Stencil Challenge

Welcome back to another HLS Stencil Challenge.

As always it is anything goes. I have used a stencil from Uniko that has been sitting in my stash foor sometime.

I used various distresss oxides to ink through the stencil. The sentiment is from a large slimline set from Simon Says Stamp. Another fairly simple and quick card. Do try to join us and check out the rest of the makes on the challenge blog as well

A Coral Anniversary.

The theme for the next two weeks at Make My Monday is "Use Bright Colours"  This fitted perfectly for the anniversary card I made  for some friends.
They invited us us to Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago to help them celebrate theit 35th wedding aniversary. A quick Google search told me is was Coral - I guess Watermelon Wonder is fairly close to coral!

Butterfly Anniversary

At the card club I go to one of the ladies brought in a lot of stuff she wanted to get rid of. Among it were some rhinestone embellishments that took my eye, including this butterfly.

In my box of snippets and bits and pieces I found the white diecut and the turquoise embossed card. So I put them all together with some ribbon and a peel off and had an anniversary card for my son and DIL later this month.

Butterfly Challenge

Mrs A's Butterfly challenge is the letter P, to use pink and/or punches. I have managed both and made a very girly anniversary card.

Everything was out of my scraps box except the peel off which looks silver although I coloured it woth a pink Copic marker. The punched butterflies are pink IRL, but the card is some Docrafts pink holographic card which is printed with butterflies. No matter what angle I took the photo at they came out in blues and yellows! The frame was cut with a Spellbinders die a long time ago and is not a die I actually own. I think I must have done it at a card club meeting.

I'm also joining in at Craft your Passion which is always "Anything Goes"

Love!

First of all I would like to welcome two new followers, Shawna and Cheryl. Hope you pop back often! I had intended joining in the Allsorts 7th birthday challenge last week but by the time I got round to thinking about making a card! the week was over! This week the challenge is "In the Pink".

I made this using another SSS kit from February. I think this paper is so pretty. I'll probably use it for my son's wedding anniversary later this year - I know his wife is very fond of pink!

Anniversary!

Tuesday was the 15th anniversary of being together with Roy. There were times earlier this year when I really didn't think we'd be celebrating.

As he has always been keen on owls and has quite a collection of them (nor real or stuffed ones!) I thought this stamp, which was free with Creative Stamping magazine, would make a perfect anniversary card for him. I inked it with walnut stain distress ink and pulled the colour out with a water brush, then fussy cut round it. The heart was cut out of some paper from a Simon Says Stamp monthly kit. The little red hearts were punched out of snippets of red glimmer paper using appropriately the SU owl punch!

I am going to take it across to the Playground to see if I can get a go on the swings!

Digitally Sweet #100 - White on White with a Touch of Pink

Welcome to a new challenge at Digitally Sweet which this week is "white on white with a touch of pink" the sponsor is Lunagirl who supplied some beautiful images to work with. I decide to make a card for a special occasion which I think could be wedding, anniverasry or even a special birthday.

As is my usual custom I created it in Craft Artist 2 using a variety of elements from my digikits.

Make My Monday - Anniversary Card

It's Monday again - don't they come round fast? - so time for another challenge at Make My Monday. I had to miss last week's as I was away on holiday in Jersey and internet connection was sporadic to say the least! This week the theme is Anniversaries.

I made this before I went away so that I didn't have to rush when I got back. Then got in a panic when I went to upload it as it was nowhere on my computer. A mad search of my craftroom found it - I just hadn't photographed it so the picture is not the best as it was getting late in the evening when I took it. I white embossed the flowers then coloured them with markers.

Less is More Week 98 and Dynamic Duos Challenge 33

Well I seem to be on a roll with the challenges now but don't know how long it will last! This week the challenge at Less is More is "Anniversary" and at Dynamic Duos it is gold and black with a dessert option of music.

I thought the two would combine perfectly.

I used a retired Stampin' Up! set called Heart Heart and stamped them in black onto gold card and heat embossed with clear powder. Then cut them out and arranged them diagonally across a cream card blank. The sentiment is also from SU's Teeny Tiny Wishes set. The hardest part has been trying to get a decent photo! It has either been so gloomy or today the sun was shining and I had lots of shadows to contend with! This is about the fourth attempt after the sun had gone and before it got too dark.

Anniversary Card

While I was unwell a couple of months ago I had my first play with Friendly Plastic and using the ooze technique made this anniversary card for my son and his wife. I'm just off now to play again - this time I'm hoping to produce a Christmas Card for my OH!

Springy Card

An oriental themed springy card made for an anniversary. The cardstock was from Kanban and the motif was made from a peel off in silver and then filled in with parts of the same peel off in red and gold.

First Anniversary

My son and daughter -in- law will be celebrating their first anniversary soon so have made a very simple card for them.
I used the Victorian Heart stamp from Creative Expressions - but only the middle part of the stamp. Embossed in silver then coloured with Sakura Glaze pens. The corners of the card are embossed and chalked in pink. This is the first time I have used the light box and embossed and was really just trying it out but thought the effect was very pretty so turned it into this card.
