Ho HO HO Santa

Today I have another card using the cute Santa from Uniko to show. The big day is coming up fast, so hope you’ve got your stash of cards ready.

For the background I found this piece of pretty Christmas tree paper. The banner he is standing on is a snippet from another paper.

Challenges:
Color Hues - red and green
Snippets Challenge- snippets used, banner and card for Santa

Santa for Happy Little Stampers

Having had a break with two birthday cards, I'm back in Christmas mode.  This time I have used another NBUS stamp, this cute Santa from Uniko.

I co;oured him with Copics and fussy cut him, then gave him some HOHOHO's to stand on. This from a different Uniko set which has been used before!

October Rudolph Day

Only one more Rudolph Day this year after this one! Where has the year gone! This month there is an extra prize for paper piecing as a tribute to Kath of Plain and Simple who sadly died earlier this year.

No paper piecing from me though as I had made my cards in advance.

I used a stamp set and matching dies from Simon Says Stamp that I bought last year! They have been patiently sitting on my desk ever since.
So I made four - two of each design for the grandchildren and grand nieces.

I'm also sharing over at the NBUS challenge as well.

Santa

I have been doing a Zoom watercolour class run by the local library. Now I am definitely not an artist but have been pleasantly surprised at what I actually could do with instruction. The last two classes of the course were a portrait. Now I have never ever drawn or painted a portrait in my life before. The reference photo was of a man with a beard and glasses wearing a panama hat, black waistcoat and with a cigar. We had to turn him into Santa!
This is my attempt. To my surprise I did manage to at least paint something that was recognisable as a face.
I turned it into a Christmas card with Craft Artist but decide it looked too scary to send to anyone!

OLC Christmas in July

The challenge at Less is More is for a one layer card. This phrase used to be one of dread but not any more. I actually like making one layer cards! The theme is Christmas in July so I had lots of stamps to choose from. Every year I buy some more even though I haven't used all the ones I've got. This year I am determined to be strong!

This one was a freebie last year. I coloured him with pencils and added some sparkle with a Nuvo glitter pen. As the stamp is  NBUS I'm going to share at the NBUS challenge as well.

Rudolph Day in June

It's being a while since I made a Rudolph Day card, so I made this one in plenty of time! I've used more Uniko stamps, but have gone for the clean look.

I love this little Santa! I coloured him with red sparkle pens, although the sparkle is lost in the photo. I may well make a few more of these nearer the time.

Happy Little Stampers - Christmas Challenge

It's time for the July Christmas challenge at Happy Little Stampers.

As always it's Anything Goes with an optional twist of Santa. I used a new stamp from a paper Artsy set that I bought last year after seeing it at The HLS Retreat. That seems like such a long time ago!

He's coloured with Wink of Stella and Promarkers. The border is hand drawn, and the red patterned paper is from the snippets box. He's really quite sparkly IRL.Think my son might get this one as he is definitely a "bah humbug! person!

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.
IF YOU USE STAMPS BY HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS AND YOU ARE OUR RANDOM WINNER, YOUR PRIZE WILL BE DOUBLED!

I'm Late, I'm late........

.........for Rudolph Day! Just getting in at the very last minute this month.

I love these fun Santa's, I think they're MFT but I've lost the packet so not sure.  He's colored with Promarkers and cut out with a couple of dies that must have been free with a magazine. Anoter quick and easy card!

Less is More - One Layer Santa

Less is More this week is the "dreaded" one layer card  with the theme of Santa. I was lucky enough to win the prize last week at the Snippets Playground and the Hobby Art stamp set I won had the perfect image.
I did the first one on a white card blank, embossed with a SU E/F. I covered the trim on the hat and collar with white flower soft. I wasn't too happy with the result as the card blank was a bit too wide for the E/F. So I made another one using Smoky Slate card.
This time I used a Snow-Writer pen which is similar to Fluffy Stuff and I like this one much better.

Santa!

I've been having a play with my new Cameo, having upgraded from the Craft Robo (my Christmas present to me as it was a bargain price at Amazon!)

Now you'd think I could have used lots of snippets but found it easier to use bigger bits of card- thus ensuring I have lots of snippets for future use! The cutting file was from the Silhouette store, paper from my stash - very old, and Merry Christmas was cut with a SSS die. I added flock to his hat and the snowy background was done with embossing paste and a stencil from SSS.

Merry Monday #81 - Santa

This week's theme at Merry Monday is to use Santa himself on your cards.  I used a stamp from Habico (NBUS) inked in Cherry Cobbler, some scraps of red for the scallop borders and mats, a Sizzix holly embossing folder, and finished it with cherry cobbler seam binding. Then I decided it needed a bit more so added a Frosted Finishes embellishment from Stampin' Up! And here is the inside

The stamp is Penny Black which I have just acquired as I thought it was perfect for the insides of cards.
