Dimensional Greetings

It's time for a new challenge at Cardz for Galz. This time the theme is Dimensional Greetings, so I decided to have a go at an eclipse card. I did make one a long time ago but it was called something else then! Rather than doing a lot of atamping I decided to use this pretty sheet of paper from my stash.

The inside says "Birthday Wishes" I used three layers of card for the letters but think it would have been better with four. It was also not the easiest card to photograph. Can't wait to see what you all make.

A Classic!

Welcome to the first challenge of 2019 at Cards 4 Guys. Jane has chosen a nice easy theme to get us started and wants to see Trains/Planes/Cars. I dug out an old Creative Expressions stamp set of vintage cars.

As well as an old stamp set, I used old paper and old dies then inked it to make it look old! Well it is vintage after all!

More inspiration from my fellow DT members can be found on the challenge blog. I hope you'll be able to join in.

Yoga!

Just before Christmas my yoga teacher decided it was time to retire, so we had a combined Christmas and retirement lunch. This is the card I made for the class to sign.

It was quite difficult to fnd  a suitable image, but eventually tracked down a digi stamp at,  Make It Crafty which was perfect as I could resize it to make it suitable for a larger than normal card. I colored her with copics to match the paper.

Use Words or a Sentiment

Welcome to the first MMM challenge of 2019! This time we would like you to use words or a sentiment as the focal point of your card.

I have made a very easy one layer card. I used a new set of stamps from Happy Little Stamper called Smile. Sadly the shop has closed. I expect you can tell I was a bit short of time immediately after Christmas! For more inspirer to the challenge blog to see what my teamies have made.ation pop ov

Happy Little Stampers - Reindeer

Just when you thought Christmas was over for another year and here I am with another Christmas card!

 http://happylittlestampers.blogspot.com/

As usual I have gone with the optional twist.I used this cute little reindeer which was a magazine freebie with matching dies, although I fussy cut these ones out as I forgot about the dies.

He has a nice red sparkly nose and hat and the snow is sparkly too. Unfortunately it was a very grey, wet day when I photographed it, so the sparkle doesn't show up. Lets hope you can join us and get an early start on those Christmas cards.

New Year, New Stash!

I really didn't think I was going to manage a card for this week's Cardz for Galz challenge but managed to squeeze long enough in my craft room to make a couple of cards.

The challenge is to use something new from your stash and I received the last of my purchases from Happy Little Stamper before the shop closed. The set I have used is called Mix Mash. I stamped various circles in pinks and lilacs with a bit of aquamarine thrown in the mix. A very easy one layer card! Hope to see you joining in with the challenge; if you need more inspiration pop over and see what the rest of team have made.

Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge

So here we are in 2019! I hope you have all had a lovely time over the holidays, but now we are back to business with the first of the Happy Little Stampers challenges.

I was rapidly running out of time just before Christmas when I made this card and found texture and watercolour difficult to combine, so went with an embossing folder to add the texture.

As I had also used my last sympathy card in the previous week I decided to make at least one to have in my stash of cards. The stamp I used is an old favourite from Little Claire, and I frequently use it for sympathy cards. I watercoloured it with DI Oxides. I had stamped the image and started colouring it before I remembered that SU cardstock doesn't really like water, but fortunately it didn't bubble like it usually does.

I do hope you will join in with us and look forward to seeing your creations.

Balloon birthday

I made this card a little while ago for my grandson's birthday in November. Where did those eleven years go - it seems no time at all since he was a baby.
Lots of snippets used here, not just the balloon papers but also the card for the balloons behind the paper.
It has made a nice change to be blogging something other than a Christmas card!  Im off to join in the fun at the Playground - I believe Parsnip is dishing out mulled wine!

The Last Christmas Cards

When we got back from our cruise in November I counted up the number of Christmas cards I had and realised  I needed to batch make a few. The old LOTV art pad I had proved invaluable and I made a large batch using it.  These are just some of them.

And the final one for this year  - when I made the card here I also made a black one. Personally I liked the black one best but it wasn't girlie enough for the challenge, so the purple one got made.
S all that's left is for me to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

New Beginnnings

The last card for this year at Cardz for Guyz, where the theme is already looking to 2019 -  New Year, New Beginnings!
I made a fireworks background with Craft Artist, then added the words using letters from a Memory Box set of dies and some sequins. The odd black splotches towards the bottom are a rooftop and lamppost! I do hope you'll find time to join in with your makes for men.
