Less is More Week 28 - One layer Card

I can't believe it's over a month since I last blogged and nearly as long since I made a card!! Not sure what else I was doing apart from one weekend when family was here and I was busy with two young grandchildren! Anyway this week I have managed to make a card for the Less is More Challenge - which this week is a one layer card using inks. Sounds easy doesn't it?  decided what to do and all went well till I added a sentiment and then it just lookes a mess. None of my stamps seemed to have the right message or were small and neat enough. So started again and left the sentiment off!

I cut a rectangle out of a piece of copy paper then sponged through the hole with distress inks- added the image stamped with black then drew a freehand border in gold.

  2. Hi Sue, I love your CAS Christmas card! Sometimes it's good to leave your card without a sentiment, especially when the recipient may want to put it inside a scrapbook, or a little frame.

  4. This is a pretty card Sue.
So often cards lose something by the addition on an inappropriate sentiment. It can be the size, the sort of font or simply not quite the right message for the image.
This card looks just fabulous as is!
    Thanks so much
