The Crafty Cow forum has a monthly challenge and this year it is a sketch challenge. This is the card I've made for the April sketch. The flower stamp is from Penny Black and was stamped in white and embossed with white detail powder on navy card. The sentiment is also stamped in blue using Adirondack denim. Cool Tortoise!

The card swap this month on The Crafty Cow forum was to use just one colour. I decided on green and used the brilliant tortoise/turtle stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. Now that it's been received I can show it on here

Tilda with Roses

I made this for the Crafty Cow forum challenge I set this month which was to use 1 stamped image, a piece of lace and some flowers. As I had just got this Tilda stamp I wanted to use that and the flowers fitted perfectly. I also used the sketch on the Papertake Weekly challenge. The papers were HOTP.

Crafty Cow Forum Challenge

This month I did a sketch for the monthly challenge I set on The Crafty Cow forum.

And this is my interpretation of it. I used Glimmer Mists for the backgrounds ( I had just got my first set and needed to try them!) The stamp is from the Harlequin Rose plate from Elusive Images and I coloured it with Twinkling H2Os and mounted it onto torn cream vellum.

Happy New Year (Belated!!)

Happy New Year to everyone. I can't believe that we are already half way through January! I've been a bit lax at posting since Christmas but it has been due to various nasty bugs that have been doing the rounds. Here are some recent cards.

These two were made using up some left over bits on the craft table.

This one is an image from Card Creations Art Deco cd decoupaged onto black glitter paper on a peach pearlescent card.

I made this one for the January challenge on Crafty Cow forum. The theme was to use mainly green and a stamped image. I made the background using Twinkling H2Os on some glossy card then stamped and embossed some flowers.

Another Crafty Cow challenge card - this time following a sketch.

Card Swaps

Well, about the only crafting I have done recently is for the card swap on the Crafty Cow forum. I have been playing with various techniques but so far haven't used any of them to make a card.
This is the boot I made for the card swap and the lovely bag I received in return from Andrea.

Fairy Princess Cards

Last week The Craft Cow demonstrated these fantastic new Fairy Princess Stamps from Redhotbed on Moovision. Well needless to say I succumbed and bought the set which the postman delivered on Thursday. Finally managed to find time to make a couple of cards with them. One is Christebella and the one with the rose is Rosetta. I used K & Co and HOTP papers. Christebella is watercoloured with Sakura Stardust pens and Rosetta is stamped then watercoloured by just using water and drawing the ink in. The wings and stars have a spot of clear glitter glue to make them sparkle.
