Happy New Year and photos for Miss Di!

A very Happy New Year to all my blogging and crafty friends, I hope 2017 is a good one for you.

Way back in October/November I promised Miss Di that I would post some of the official wedding photos. It's taken a while as the photographer had problems with Windows 10 and her computer crashed twice while she was trying to process them. By the time I got the DVD I was getting busy in the run up to Christmas, so although I had loaded them onto the laptop and looked at them, that was as far as I had got. Today I finally got round to emailing some to relatives, but at the moment all my emails are stuck in the outbox! Hopefully it's not my laptop but the ether being busy! Anyway I have had a play and put together a small collage as I'm sure you don't want to spend ages ploughing through a lot of photos.

"The Wedding", Rudolph Day and Happy Little Stampers

Well we were so lucky to have great weather last Saturday for our wedding. Yep, I've finally gone and done it!  Just a few phone photos for you as I haven't got the official ones yet.

Signing the Register

With some of the grand kids. From L-R Dylan (Roy's great nephew) Declan (my eldest Grandson) Pollly (Roy's great niece) and Jack (my other grandson. Missing is Daisy - Polly's sister who didn't want her photo taken and ran away!

Pretending to cut the cake which was quite small but looks positively minute in the picture!

And now here's my card for Rudolph Day and also Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge which is to use embossing. I'm also hopping over to the Playground as the red card was a snippet. The die is from Memory Box and the EF is a retired  SU one.

A day out and a Wedding

On Tuesday I had a great day down in Southampton meeting up with Darnell and some other fellow bloggers. What a super time we had - Darnell is as sweet IRL as she is on her blog. I travelled down with Jane from Onions and Paper who had kindly volunteered to drive, the journey took rather longer than we anticipated due to the M3 being closed following an accident, but we did see more of the Hampshire countryside😄

I'm sure you've already seen the group photo on other blogs, but just in case here it is again.

There hasn't been a lot of crafting going on here apart from our invitations for our wedding in October. Fortunately I had finished them before the weather got so hot as my craft room becomes like a sauna!

There were a few prototypes made and discarded before I finally settled on the above design. I used the Floral Phrases stamp set from Stampin' Up! stamped and embossed in silver. The words were from an unbranded set I found on the Internet.

Unusually for me I stamped the envelopes to match. The inserts were created in Craft Artist. I have to say making 10 all the same was quite enough!  I was going to keep it quiet but I let the cat out of the bag on Tuesday!!

Digitally Sweet #100 - White on White with a Touch of Pink

Welcome to a new challenge at Digitally Sweet which this week is "white on white with a touch of pink" the sponsor is Lunagirl who supplied some beautiful images to work with. I decide to make a card for a special occasion which I think could be wedding, anniverasry or even a special birthday.

As is my usual custom I created it in Craft Artist 2 using a variety of elements from my digikits.

Make My Monday - Wedding Themed

Monday is here again! I hope you all had a good weekend.   Our challenge at Make My Monday this week is set by Laura and she has chosen "Wedding Themed"  I don't get to make many wedding cards these days  so now I've made one I just need to find someone who is getting married!

I have kept it fairly simple. I cut out a heart and stamped a sentiment on it in silver. Then I stamped and punched lots of flowers and arranged them around the edge of the heart, and mounted it with dimensionals onto a white mat, which in turn was on a pink one and a silver one. A piece of ribbon finished it off. Told you it was simple!

Card recipe:

Cardstock: White scalloped card blank (non SU) silver foil, Primrose Petals, Whisper White
Ink: Primrose Petals, silver encore
Stamp set: Petite Petals, sentiment (non SU)
Misc: Petite Petals punch, ribbon from retired artisan embellishment kit.

White on White Wedding Card.

Well my first attempt at making htis card resulted in a lot of mess and no card! I wasn't sure what I wanted to do other than the fact I wanted it all white so started by cutting a lot of diecuts and embossing various bits. When I stopped I had a lot of pieces, a lot of mess and no card!

Today it all came together. Think I had a light bulb moment during the night! I used pearlescent card from Anna Marie Designs. The embossing behind the cut out oval is on vellum. The label from SU is embossed in silver. The flowers are Spellbinders Die-lites Lily of the Valley with a white satin bow on top.

Here is an "arty" view!

And in order to make the card balance (ie stand up as the front is heavy) I decorated the inside as well.

I hope my hairdresser likes it when she gets it next month (It's OK she won't see this as she doesn't know I have a blog!)

Wedding Card

I haven't blogged for a while or made any cards as we have just spent a lovely week in Jersey. Even the weather was kind - one thunderstorm the night we arrived then the rest of the week was mostly sunny and reasonably warm. Back to reality again and I had to make a wedding card for next week but inspiration was lacking . Eventually decided to stick to something simple and this is what I made.

I embossed some white card with a Cuttlebug folder added white satin ribbon and pearls and matted it onto silver card then a white card blank. The tag was a nestie edged with a silver Krylon pen and the sentiment is a peel off.

Wedding Card

I've just learnt that a former colleague went on holiday this year and came back married! As I'm meeting up with her shortly thought I'd take her a congrats card.

The photo doesn't show colours very well. The card is deep blue pearlised topped with a piece of silver textured card and the Jolly Nation ballroom couple decoupaged on to it.
