A Sunny New Home

I'm cutting it a bit fine for this month's Twofer challenge, but I've combined it with a new home card for my neighbour's daughter and family. They sold their house just before lockdown and were due to move into a new build, which of course went on hold, so their original 3 week stay with Dad has turned into 6 months. This is the card I have made for them ready for next week when they finally get into their new home.

My second card turned into a get well card for my stash. I did quite a bit of fussy cutting for this one.

The flower petals are actually pale pink although they look white in the photo.

And here they both are together.

The sun, clouds and flowers are from a Simon Says Stamp set and the house is from Stamping Up.

Happy Little Stampers Watrcolour Challenge

It's time for the first of the Happy Little Stampers challenges for November. As always it is Anything Goes with an optional twist, and this month it's Get Well.

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.
IF YOU USE STAMPS BY HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS AND YOU ARE OUR RANDOM WINNER, YOUR PRIZE WILL BE DOUBLED!

I wnted to use a digistamp that I got a little while ago from Bugaboo, so printed it out on some Bristol board but the ink smudged as soon as I added the watercolour, the second one I left overnight but it still smudged. Watercolour paper would not go through the printer and my Stampin Up card bubbles with water, then I has a brainwave. If the ink wasn't drying on the Bristol board I could emboss it, and it worked.
I coloured my dragon with Zigs in Welsh dragon colours, cut it out with L'il Inkers stitched square dies and affset it onto a red mat, before putting it on a green plaid background.

I'm looking forward to seeing all your entries!

Cardz for Guyz - Get Well

The challenge this time at Cardz for Guyz is Get Well. I decided to go for a humorous one.

The digi stamp is from Bugaboo, coloured with copics and cut out with a stitched rectangle die. I mounted it onto red, again cut out with a stitched rectangle, and placed it off centre to make room for the sentiment, which is from a Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz set.

There's lots more inspiration over on the challenge blog, so hope you'll come and play too.
