Now this card might look like a rectangle but the front is in fact a hexagon. I made it using a new set of dies from Paula Pascual called elongated hexagon. You get the basic card shape plus all the corner pieces ,smaller hexagons and trellis work insert. The rhinestones, flower and leaves are very old stash. Don't forget to see what other shapes the DT have come up with.

Trim the Tree!
Well Christmas is only just over and here we are making Christmas cards again! It's time for the Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge.
This year I'm on a mission to use up some of my old stash and for this challenge I found some old Kanban decoupage toppers, bought when I first started cardmaking and neglected for a long time.
I used a scrap of SU designer paper to back it and added some gold adhesive ribbon. I added glitter to elements on the card, but I'm afraid the photo is not very good, it was a very grey day!
Please do join in the fun and make a start on those cards - it's never too early!

Pins and Needles!
Welcome to our new challenge at Cardz for Galz, the first in 2020. The theme is "Haberdashery". It has given me the opportunity to use some dies thatI got as part of a bundle and thought I would never use.
I found a couple of sheets of coordinating background paper, I thought the top one looked a bit like stitches! I diecut the pincushion, scissors and cotton reeland wound some glitter cord round it. The buttons were out of my stash. I think I'll save this for a friend's birthday later in the year as she is a keen quilter.
Do check out the rest of the DTs makes.

Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge
Happy New Year
And here we are (almost! ) in 2020 and the first of the Happy Little Stampers challenges.
I found the background in my drawer of bits. I made it by spraying it randomly with Distress Spray them smooshing Distress Oxide inks over it. I then found another piece of card where I had been playing with Brushos and diecut the flower using a Spellbinders die. A simple sentiment finished it off.
I do hope you'll check out the challenge blog and join in with us.
Blue!
Thelast challenge of the year at Cardz for Guyz is "Blue" I had lots of pieces of blue paper, and still have, in my snippets box, so made two cards using some of them.
Sadly it didn't make much of a dent in the pile but it did make two fairly quick and easy cards. I'm looking forward to seeing your blue creations.

Female Birthday
Welcome to the final challenge of 2019 at Make My Monday.
Hopefully by now you have all finished your Christmas cards so today we are having a birthday challenge. We would like to see your makes for a female birthday. I was running very short of time in the lead up to Christmas so I fished out some Hunkydory stuff that I think came in a magazine, and made a very quick and easy card.
There's nothing more I can say about it so I'll finish by withing you all a

It's time to celebrate
Our new challenge at Perfectly CAS is "Celebrate"
As you know the challenge is to keep it cas by only using one third of your card.
I printed the word celebrate on the computer then stamped the coloured drinks over it. A small stamp at the top of the glasses finished it off. Don't forget to check out all the other DT cards.

I have gone for the bottom third this month.

CD Sundays Christmas
I have rarely entered the CD Sunday challenge due to lack of time, but this week I found I had a few spare minutes and already had some images printed off. The challenge is usually anything goes but this week they are looking for Christmassy cards!
I had a couple of images left fom a page I had printed out earlier in the year from Joanna Sheen's Victorian christmas CD. This is one of the smaller images. I mounted it on to some icy blue glitter paper and then a white mat, which I wrapped with some matching ribbon. It was going to be added to a white card blank but it just looked too stark so I stamped some snowflakes round the edge.I added a couple of die cut glitter snowflakes which were lurking on my desk, and a pale blue gem in the middle.
I've actually written and sent all my cards this year so I'm getting a head start on next year's!

Nutty but Nice!
Welcome to the new challenge at Make My Monday, a really easy one this week - "Christmas". I used an Art Impressions stamp set from the Stamptember range at SSS.
I stamped onto kraft card and colored with pencils. Some scraps of glittery ribbon and a sprig of gold holly finished it off.
I'm sure you're all well ahead with your Christmas cards, but if not, there's lots of inspiration on the challenge blog.

A Cute Christmas card!
Helen has chosen Cute Christmas as the theme for the new challenge at Cardz for Galz.
I first saw a card made with this stamp by Mama Elephant at the Make It Show back in February but it had sold out. I managed to get it later online but I have only just inked it up.
I coloured the kitties in with Promarkers and added glitter to the baubles and hats. Sadly it doesn't show in the photo. The snowflakes are punched out of white glitter paper with an old Martha Stewart punch.
I hope to see your makes in the gallery and if you would like to join our friendly team we are having a DT call, full details on the blog.
