Digitally Sweet # 124 - Anything but a Card or Layout

Hi, this week the challenge at Digitally Sweet is "Anything but a Card or Layout". I started off with the idea of a giftbag but it all went horribly wrong so I made a bookmark instead! We are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine and I chose Water Lily Enchantress to work with.
I started off by colouring her with Spectrum Noir pencils but the colours seemed to come out very pale and when I scanned it back in was much too wishy washy. I think I must be doing something wrong with them so will have to find some tutorials and practice. So I recoloured her by going over my original colouring with Promarkers - much brighter! The background and other elements are from various Daisytrail kits and as usual I used Craft Artist 2 to create it.

Sunflower Pretty

I have set myself a task of using up some of the UFO's and bits and pieces lying on my desk, that I've got out then not used for whatever reason. This card has used up the LSS image I coloured to use here, but of course I had the original left over after scanning it and using it digitally.

The paper is from a Simon says monthly kit but can't remember which on, and the flowers are from my stash and recoloured with Copics as was the sentiment.I'm afraid the photo is rubbish as it was very dull when I took it. The colours IRL are much brighter. Papertake Weekly have an Anything Goes challenge this week so I'm entering it there.

Digitally Sweet #117 - Sentiment as Main Focus

Hi and welcome to this week's challenge at Digitally Sweet . First though I would like to give a warm welcome to Granmargaret who has joined the DT.

On to the challenge which is to use the sentiment as the main focus. We are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine . I chose to use Peppermint Snow Globe, but when I got the image couldn't for the life of me remember what I had planned to do with it - so the thinking cap had to go on.

As usual I created it in Craft Artist 2 and coloured the image digitally in the programme as well. Wish I could remember what my original idea was! Head on over to the challenge blog and see what great designs the rest of the DT have come up with.

Digitally Sweet Challenge #108 Lots of Flowers

Welcome to a newchallenge at Digitally Sweet and this week the sponsor is Lacy Sunshine.
The challenge is "Lots of Flowers"

I used Flower Pot Pretties Sunny as I always associate sunflowers with late summer/early autumn. Rather than add lots of flower embellishments I decided to be a bit more subtle and used a digital embossing folder of sunflowers on my background. As usual it was created in Craft Artist 2. I did colour the image with Copics then scanned it back into the computer to add it it to my digital card.

Digitally Sweet - Charming

Its Friday and there's a new challenge at Digitally Sweet. This week the sponsor is Lacy Sunshine. I have used " Abby Mending a Broken Heart". The challenge is to use a charm on your project.

I coloured the image with Copics then scanned it back into the computer. As usual I then created this in Craft Artist. I cherry-picked the elements from a number of Daisy Trail kits. I'm afraid I'm a bit late posting this again. I thought I'd got over the bug I had but woke up this morning feeling pretty awful again. Just hope it goes soon!

Digitally Sweet Challenge #103 - Oriental

It's Friday and time for a new challenge at Digitally Sweet. This week we are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine and I got to work with this gorgeous image "Lucky Bamboo Flower Pot Pretties.

I coloured her with copics before scanning back into my computer and adding her to a page made in Craft Artist.

Digitallly Sweet Challenge #95 - Holiday/Vacation

Happy Independence Day to all my readers across the pond!

When I picked the theme for this week's challenge at Digitally Sweet I was thinking of long summer holidays! The sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine and I have used the fun image "Eleanor and Pickles Digging Clams"

As usual I have created the card in Craft Artist 2. The background and embellishments were made from the "Life's a Beach" digikit. For once I've only used one kit so can remember what its called! The stamp was coloured with Promarkers then added with dimensionals as were the towel and the July banner. IRL the colours are a lot brighter but my camera seems to have softened them. I used liquid pearls to add the pearl in the open clam and glossy accents for the glasses and mask. Go visit Digitally Sweet and check out what the rest of the Design Team have done, and we'd love to see what you make as well. Don't forget that it doesn't have to be 100% digital - just something digital on it - but we'd love it if it was.

Digitally Sweet Challenge #92 - Holidays

It's Friday so time for a new challenge at Digitally Sweet, and this week the theme is Holidays/Vacation. Being in the UK I chose holidays for the theme, but of course our friends across the pond call them vacations. We are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine Stamps and I have used Larry Gnome Surf's Up.

I coloured him digitally and then added him to a background made in Craft Artist. All the other elements and background papers are from Daisy Trail digikits. Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's creations.

Digitally Sweet #86 - Things with Wings

Hello and welcome to another week at Digitally Sweet where the challenge is Things with Wings. The sponsor is Lacy Sunshine and I have used the L'il Duckies image. Aren't they cute swimming in that umbrella?

I coloured the image with copics and mounted her onto the digital background with foam pads to give a bit of dimension. I do hope you'll pop over to the challenge blog to see what inspiration there is from the rest of the DT. And why not join in, we'd love to see you.

Digitally Sweet Challenge #83 - Easter

Goodness this year seems to be flying past - here we are at Easter next week already! And of course at Digitally Sweet we have an Easter themed challenge!  The sponsor is Lacy Sunshine and I have used Rory's Eggstra Special Delivery. I have digitally coloured her in Craft Artist and added some Easter themed embellishments from  some daisy Trail kits.

The embossed eggs and Happy Easter are from their new Digiboss kits. They are so easy to use - just drop them on top of whatever paper you have chosen! Do go and see what the rest of the Design Team have been up to this week as well.

Digitally Sweet Challenge # 80

Hello and welcome to another Digitally Sweet challenge. Our sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine  and the challenge is  'Want to be a star'    Add stars to your project or perhaps you know someone who is going to win some kind of feat...exp. tying shoe laces correctly! LOL!

I have made a card using 'Emily - Graduate'. I made the background by playing around with the Fill Colour tool in Craft Artist.  Emily was digitally painted and I added the sentiment and stars which were some digikit elements. Not sure which ones as I was cherry- picking from all the kits  I have.

Digitally Sweet Challenge #76 - colour inspiration

Hello and welcome to another week at Digitally Sweet and this week we are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine and have a gorgeous co;our palette for you to follow.

And here is what I made  - eventually!

I used Emily Street Urchin as my image and made a card using a Daisy Trail kit then realised I had completely forgotten to follow the colour inspiration - doh! I was really pleased with it too so tried recolouring within the programme but it was not a success, so I started again - which really meant I only had to change the background and embellishments . So the above is the correct one for the challenge and below is the wrong one!

I still like the wrong one best! Not sure what the two grey lines are above and below this pic! Yes I do it is actually the edge of the white card base which is not showing up!

Digitally Sweet #71 - Polly Poinsettia

Hello and welcome to another week at Digitally Sweet. Gosh this month seems to be flying by!The sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine Stamps. I think I was still in Christmas mode when I picked this image called Polly Poinsettia  but never mind - it just means I'm ahead on this year's cards!

I created this card front as usual in Craft Artist and used a kit from Daisy Trail called Paper Poinsettia.

Last week we had a new DT member Annie join us but I didn't welcome her to the team then as I schedule these posts- otherwise they would never go up at the right time!! So I'd like to give a big welcome to Annie now. Why not pop over and visit her blog where she has lots of great things to see.

Digitally Sweet #68 "Anything Goes"

Welcome to another challenge at Digitally Sweet. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas with lots of scrummy food and pressies and plenty of family fun too. The challenge this week is Anything Goes and is sponsored by Lacy Sunshine.

I have used a digi stamp called "Gnome Bits". I coloured them with Promarkers at card club just before Christmas. Then scanned them and added them to a digital page. I used bits from a number of Daisy Trail kits to create my scene. I hope you like it.

Santa Spreading Joy!

In my last post I had used a Lacy Sunshine image which I had coloured then scanned to create a digital card. Of course that meant I still had the coloured image to play with so used it to make this card. I think it will be heading to one of my grandsons this Christmas.

I even managed to use some Christmas backing paper that I've had since I first started making cards. Somehow it never seemed to go with anything, but have cut into it a number of times, then not used it so the front piece was out of my snippets box (why does that never get any emptier?) so I'm heading over to Pixies Snippets Playground for her 100th week, and to celebrate that she has a fantastic prize on offer!  Why not pop over and have a go on the swings too!

Digitally Sweet #63 and Santa

Welcome to another challenge at Digitally Sweet and this week the theme is everyone's favourite "Anything Goes". Once again we are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine Stamps

I used"Santa Spreading Joy" and coloured him with promarkers. Then I scanned him and took him back into Craft Artist, cut him out digitally and added him to a card made with a Daisy Trail kit called Festive Christmas. Some snow was then liberally dusted over it using a snow brush in Craft Artist. Poor Santa looks a bit washed out here but IRL he's quite bright!

Digitally Sweet Challenge #59 - Anything Goes

Another week at Digitally Sweet and it is the always popular "Anything Goes" sponsored by Lacy Sunshine Stamps.

I chose "Christmas Boo" as my image and coloured her with Copics then took her back into Craft Artist and used her as an embellishment for my page. The photo was taken a few years ago of all my grandsons' presents!  The rest of the page came from  some Daisy Trail digikits which I have.
