Perfectly CAS June

The middle of the month means its time for a new challenge over at Perfectly Cas.This is my last card for it as a design team member, as explained in my HLS posts.

This month we want you to use just one corner and remember that you must only use one third of the card as well to keep it Perfectly Cas.

n
I used a Simon Says Stamp die and coloured it with Copics. I also used one of my last hemp card blanks which are no longer available from Craft Creations. Such a pity as I really did like them.
Do go and have a look at all the fabulous makes from the rest of the DT.

Perfectly Cas May

My goodness it's the middle of the month already so time for the new challenge at Perfectly Cas.

This month we want to see repeat stamping, but remember to only use one third of the crd so that there is lots of white space.

I used some fairly old peg stamps from Cardio to stamp a floral panel across the card.

The sentiment is a Clarity stamp one.
There's lots of lovely makes on the challenge blog from my fellow DT memebers.

Birthday Wings!

It's the middle of the month so time for a new challenge at Perfectly CAS, and this month it is "Wings".

Now I'm fairly sure that the popular choices will be butterflies, dragonflies, birds and bees. I decided to be different!

No NBUS here either as the plane is a very old SU stamp and the sentiment an old one from Clarity. I stamped the plane first then lined up the sentiment to look as though it was coming from the exhaust,. I stamped it in blue and red (very patriotic), reminiscent of the Red Arrows! It looked a bit naked so I masked off the rest of the card and carefully applied a very pale blue Copic - intentionally patchy _ for the sky.

Don't forget to use just one third of your card to join us. Lots more ideas on the challenge blog!

Perfectly Cas

It's time for aa new challenge at Perfectly Cas and this month we have a reallly easy theme for you - Birthday!

I decided to use the middle third of the card and stamped a row of cactus plants around the sentiment. I used the Misti, which meant I could stamp all the images at once. The stamp is an HLS one.

I added two score lines above and below the images to add a bit of definition, then coloured them with Polychromos pencils.
I look forward to seeing all your cas cards and if you need more inspiration pop over to the challenge blog.

Perfectly Cas Splash Feb

It's time for a new challenge at Perfectly Cas. I have used some stamps that have been sitting unused for some time. I think they were some freebies from a magazine a couple of years ago.

I think the duck's a bit big for the puddle though! This is a really quick post as I had forgotten  to do schedule it or post on the DT blog ready for Monday. There's a whole heap of gorgeous cards from my teammates on the challenge blog.

Perfectly Cas january

Welcome back to our first challenge of the year at Perfectly CAS and the theme is to use stencils.

Back in November I did an online workshop with Eileen Godwin which involved stencils. You can see the cards I made for it  here. So while I still had the stencils, inks and stamps out I made a cas card for this challenge.

Remember to make sure your card only uses 1/3 of the card space, and check out the fabulous makes from the rest of the team.

Perfectly CAS Sparkle

Welcome to a new challenge at Perfectly Cas. This will be the last challenge for a little while as we are having a 6 month break.

As always to keep your card clean and simple we want you to only use one third of your card.

I chose to take the theme literally and created a Christmas card. I'm sorry the photos are rubbish but it was the best I could do. I'm hoping you can see the sparkle in the second photo. I use a very pretty WOW embossing powder called Starry Night. The stamps are Happy Little Stampers.

Perfectly Cas - Animals

It's the middle of May and time for a new challenge at Perfectly CAS, where we challenge you to create a cas card using only one third of your card.

This month we want to see animals on your card. I found an ols Woodware stamp set to use as I'm rather fond of this cat! I said it was old didn't I? Well so old that the back paw and tail split off from the rest of the stamp! Fortunately it was a clean break so I managed to stamp it without the break showing.

He's coloured with Copics. I've kept the stamp as it is useable and there are others in the set that I still haven't used.  Do check in at the challenge blog to see what other animals have been used.

A Rainbow of Octopus!!

Well here we are half way through April so it's time for another challenge at Perfectly CAS, where we challenge you to only use one third of your card.

This month we want you to use masking.I decided to make an octopus card. You will see from my sidebar that I support Octopus for a Preemie UK. I am the local coordinator and it's my job to check all the octopus my local makers produce to ensure they are suitable. Every so often to encourage them I do a small monthly draw and alwayd put an octopus themed card in with the little prize. The stamp I usually use for these is from Lawn Fawn and as it was sitting on my desk, decided to use it for this challenge.

As rainbows are currently appearing everywhere as a symbol of hope while we battle this pandemic, I made a rainbow of octopus.I think I could have spaced them a bit better though.

Why don't you join in and see what you can create using only one third of your card?
I’m also sharing this with Sir Stampalot -Over the Rainbow Challenge

Flower Silhouette

It's time for another challenge at Perfectly Cas where we challenge you to only use one third of your card.

This month we want to see diecuts on your card.It took me quite a while to decide what to do for this!
Finally I decided on a stencilled background and a silhouette of a flower.

I must be in Spring mode as I've gone for yellow again! The stencil is a Neat and tangled one that was sent me by Chrissie and I have only just got round to using, but it certainly won't be the last. I'm pretty certain it is a Penny Black die, but packaging is long gone. I cut it out three times in white and glued them together for a bit of added dimension. Originally I was going to leave it white but it just didn't show up enough, so the top layer got coloured with a black Copic.

Do be sure to check out all the fab makes from the rest of the DT.

Birthday Banner

It's the middle of the month so time for a new challenge at Perfectly Cas and this time we are looking for Shapes.

I decided to go with triangles and used a Little Claire Stamp set that I don't think had ever seen ink because getting everything lined up was just too difficult, but my Misti changed all that.

It looks a bit naked to me so when I use it, I'll probably personalise it!

I wonder what shapes you'll use? Don't forget to visit my fellow teammates for lots of ideas.

One Layer at Perfectly CAS

It's time for the first challenge of 2020 here at Perfectly Cas, and it's the dreaded one layer card! Although I don't think people find it as frightening as they used to.

I have used a set of stamps that seem to lend themselves to the one layer card made by Little Claire Designs.

I think these little dachshunds are so cute! I masked off the card leaving just a strip wide enough for the dogs and brushed some pale green ink over it. The dogs were coloured with Stamping Up markers. Lots of inspiration from my fellow team members on the challenge blog, do pop over and have a look.

It's time to celebrate

Our new challenge at Perfectly CAS is "Celebrate"

As you know the challenge is to keep it cas by only using one third of your card.

I have gone for the bottom third this month.

I printed the word celebrate on the computer then stamped the coloured drinks over it. A small stamp at the top of the glasses finished it off. Don't forget to check out all the other DT cards.

A Perfectly CAS Christmas

Hello there and welcome to the third Perfectly CAS challenge, and what a surprise - our theme is Christmas!

And here is my card.

I used a Stamplorations stamp, heat embossed in gold and watercoloured in, Then I got a bit carried away and did one heat embossed in red sparkle.

And another in white sparkly embossing powder on dark blue card.

That one didn't work as well! But it is three more cards made!

There's some gorgeous makes from my teamies on the challenge blog, so why not give it a go and make a lovely cas card using only one third.

Perfectly Cas 15 october

It was lovely to see all your CAS entries for last month's Perfectly CAS challenge. Hopefully you'll be able to join us again for our second challenge.

Even though we are now in October we have still been eating some very nice strawberries from the supermarket - and British ones at that!  So that is the theme for my card.

I have this lovely strawberry stamp which was free with Craft Stamper magazine years ago. I coloured it with Promarkers and then added glossy accents to the fruit. I scored two lines above and below the fruit, but they're a bit difficult to see in the photo and added a simple sentiment embossed in white on black card.

So now let's see your cas cards using only one third of the card, and check out my teamies makes.

Perfectly CAS!

I'm delighted to tell you that there is a brand new challenge blog callled Perfectly CAS, which hs been created by the lovely Kylie of Happy Little Stampers. I'm even more delighted to say that I am on the design team for this great new challenge. It is a simple concept, by only using one third of the card you will create a Perfectly CAS card!

I used a chevron stencil to create the background - I think it was a freebie! The flower is from a Simon Says Stamp set called Daisy Bouquet which I coloured with pencils,

I do hope you will check out the rest of the DT makes and  join in this challenge.
