I originally started making this card for Less Is More but then realised it didn't fit the theme, so put it to one side to finish later. It was also a bit of an experiment. I originally intended it to be no line colouring using coloured pencils. It started off quite well and I really liked the effect the pencils had on the textured card. However, I soon gave up on the no line colouring as the stamp is quite small and I couldn't see the lines. Fortunately I had used the Misti and still had the stamp attached so I was able to restamp with black.

Peace On Earth
This was a bit of an experiment. I found, tucked away at the back of a drawer, a pack of watercolour cards. I stamped the image, a magazine freebie and NBUS with Ink 3 no colour ink. My idea was that it would just look as if it had been watercoloured.
However it just didn't look right to me. So I very carefully went round the outline with a grey Unipen. The sentiment from the same set of freebies was stamped in grey ink. That looked much better but I'm not sure I like the featureless faces. I really want to add eyes, nose and mouth, but think I'll try that out on a piece of scrap paper!

One Layer Christmas
I'm obviously in a Christmas mood at the moment! 52 CCT are asking for one layer cards so it seemed like a good opportunity to use some more of my NBUS stash.
This is a Gina K set that I think was a Stamptember set from SSS a couple of years ago. I stamped and embossed the trees and sentiment in silver then silver embossed them. I tried doing some shadow stamping on the first one - but that ended up in the bin!

OLC Christmas
This has to be one of the simplest cards I've ever made! I used a very old long slim card blank from my stash. I still have quite a lot from my very early crafting days! They are all coloured and pearlescent, so never quite know what to do with them, hence the reason they are still at the bottom of my card blank box.
I stamped the image, another magazine freebie from last year, in black archival ink so that it would dry. I'm sharing with Cardz for Galz for their one layer challenge.

One Layer at Perfectly CAS
It's time for the first challenge of 2020 here at Perfectly Cas, and it's the dreaded one layer card! Although I don't think people find it as frightening as they used to.
I think these little dachshunds are so cute! I masked off the card leaving just a strip wide enough for the dogs and brushed some pale green ink over it. The dogs were coloured with Stamping Up markers. Lots of inspiration from my fellow team members on the challenge blog, do pop over and have a look.
I have used a set of stamps that seem to lend themselves to the one layer card made by Little Claire Designs.

Use Words or a Sentiment
Welcome to the first MMM challenge of 2019! This time we would like you to use words or a sentiment as the focal point of your card.
I have made a very easy one layer card. I used a new set of stamps from Happy Little Stamper called Smile. Sadly the shop has closed. I expect you can tell I was a bit short of time immediately after Christmas! For more inspirer to the challenge blog to see what my teamies have made.ation pop ov

New Year, New Stash!
I really didn't think I was going to manage a card for this week's Cardz for Galz challenge but managed to squeeze long enough in my craft room to make a couple of cards.
The challenge is to use something new from your stash and I received the last of my purchases from Happy Little Stamper before the shop closed. The set I have used is called Mix Mash. I stamped various circles in pinks and lilacs with a bit of aquamarine thrown in the mix. A very easy one layer card! Hope to see you joining in with the challenge; if you need more inspiration pop over and see what the rest of team have made.

Less is More - One Layer!
Once again at Less is More it is the dreaded one layer week! The theme is to make the sentiment the focal point.
So this has given me the motivation to use another NBUS item. The stamp set Botanicals for You is one of this year's Sale-a-Bration items from Stampin'Up! For such a simple card it should have taken minutes to make but oh dear No! This is the ninth attempt and even now I can see I have a smudge in the top left hand corner! It just might have to become a more than one layer card before I use it.I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow and added some Wink of Stella which sadly doesn't show up in the photo. The flowers were stamped in Watermelon Wonder and Crushed Curry and the leaves in Cucumber Crush.

Less is More - One Layer Week
Just popping in very quickly with a card for Less is More. Its one layer week with a theme of "Animals". I decided to go very simple and definitely not cutesy!
The Chimp stamp is from Clarity and was a NDC stamp which had never been inked before. I clear embossed it and IRL its lovely and glossy. I tried embossing a rectangle around the stamp with a Spellbinders die but it looked awful and was almost cut through so I doodled a frame instead. The sentiment is from an old Creative Expressions set and I had to doodle underneath it as well, as I had caught the edge of the stamp with ink, and I wasn't going to do it a third time!

OLC Love at LIM
This week the ladies at Less is More are asking for a one layer card with the theme of love. I decided to avoid the obvious hearts as Valentine's Day was gone for this year and this is what I came up with after I'd had a browse through my stamps.
The stamps are from Simon Says Stamp. I think if it hadn't been a one layer challenge I would have punched out the little red heart (yes I know I said I was avoiding hearts lol!) - I may still do just that!

Less is More - Foliage
I'm just scraping in at the last minute for the Less is More challenge where this week the LIM ladies are asking for Foliage and One Layer! I've had this card in my head all week and only just found time to actully make it!
The stamp was one of the first I ever bought from the local shop which has very limited supplies! I think I bought it for a card swap on a forum I belonged to at the time. I knew I wanted to use it so went rummaging at the bottom of the box to find it. Of course then I found a few more stamps I've had for nearly as long and not used in an age - i've made a mental note to se them soon.

Originally I had the panel going vertically down the card but couldn't find a suitable sentiment or placement so turned the card 90 degrees! Much easier now! I have scored lines either side of the stamping but I'm afraid it really doesn't show up very well. So I may well cut the panel out and do some matting and layering, but for now it's my OL entry.
