Birthday Salute!

Recently it was Roy's birthday and as he is still very miltary minded , even though he has been out of the army getting on for forty years, I thought that Cpl Clegg from Dr Digi was very appropriate.

I coloured him with pencils and added some gold paint for the buttons and end of the pace stick, and glossy accents for the boots. The background paper is a 6x6 sheet from my stash, which I thought made a nice frame, matted onto a piece of Sahara Sand card.

One Layer Card

I originally started making this card for Less Is More but then realised it didn't fit the theme, so put it to one side to finish later. It was also a bit of an experiment. I originally intended it to be no line colouring using coloured pencils. It started off quite well and I really liked the effect the pencils had on the textured card. However, I soon gave up on the no line colouring as the stamp is quite small and I couldn't see the lines. Fortunately I had used the Misti and still had the stamp attached so I was able to restamp with black.

The stamp is a new one from Aall and Create.

Rudolph Day July 2023

It's Rudolph Day again. My goodness doesn't it come round quickly! I'm still not making many cards but I am still remembering to join in with Rudolph Day. After all, it does help increase my stash of Christmas cards.

This month I decided to unearth my set of Paper Artsy stamps which havent been used as much as they should have been. I coloured them with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils which were out on my desk. Mounted it onto green mirri card then some Christmassy paper which originally came from a magazine.
