More Old Stash

This time I have used an old Hunkydory kit which I think was a magazine freebie. I have to say I have quite enjoyed making these and it has certainly added to my Christmas quota.

I'm sharing the first card with Craftyhazelnut's Christmas challenge and  the second one at The Holly and Ivy Christmas challenge. I made these before we went on a short cruise. It was really nice to be able to get on board again and the whole thing felt very safe with all the Covid protocols in place and testing before we could board. That was a bit stressful though waiting for the results to come through. We went with P&O for the first time on their new ship Iona. It is huge but a beautiful ship. It was sailing with only half capacity, but still seemed quite busy. I definitely won't be sailing on her at full capacity which is approx 5200 bodies!

Rudolph Day January 2021

Here we are at the first Rudolph Day of 2021. An excellent way of getting ahead with those Christmas cards.

Just before last Christmas I did a watercolour workshop and the last project was to paint a robin. After I had done mine I photographed it then took it into Craft Artist. I added some holly and a Merry Christmas sentiment then printed it onto glossy paper and put it on a white card blank. I think I’ll be making a few more of these when it gets nearer Christmas

Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge

Welcome back to the second Christmas challenge of this year at Happy Little Stampers.

As always it is Anything Goes but with the option of Christmas wings. My original intention was to do something with an angel on, but then realised I didn't actually have any angel stamps, or indeed anything else. So what other choice did I have but to go with ever popular Christmas robins!

I found some decoupage robins, some robin patterned paper, some Christmassy ribbon and peel off greetings, and ended up with three cards.

If I can keep this up throughout the year my Christmas card target will be easy! Please check out the challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT have made and join us to get a head start this year on those cards.

Rudolph Day - June

Well Rudolph Day really took me by surprise this month, as I didn't have a card ready. So a quick visit to the craft room resulted in this.

The stamp is from Hobbyart bought at this year' s Make It Show. The fat robins really appealed to me when I saw their samples. The backing paper was a plain green out of a very old Christmas pad, so I stamped on it with a small holly leaf from the set with a brilliance pad to give a bit of shine. The robin us coloured with Copics and some Dazzling Details glitter glue added for the white sparkle.

I'm afraid my blog posts may become even more erratic than they already are over the next few months. We have really got to concentrate on getting Roy's flat emptied and put on the market, and at the same time I need to clear out my garage to make room for the men to install new garage doors. No mean task as it's been used to dump everything in just in case it becomes useful. I do have a few things saved in drafts which I'll post from time to time and I'm sure I'll fit some crafting in, just tokeep me sane!!

I seem to have lost my signature as well, will have to create a new one but meanwhile, a temporary one.
