Upcycled Card

The challenge at Jingle Belles is to recycle in recognition of Earth is achallenge Day. This is the first time I have entered this challenge and I'm squeezing in at almost the last minute.

I have cut out part of a Christmas card received last year and mounted it onto an embossed card. A sentiment from my stash completed the card.

May Rudolph Day

Well I hope those of you in the UK are enjoying the glorious Bank Holiday weather, whilst still socially distancing of course. I have another upcycled card for Rudolph Day. I might have to start using a bit more originality soon, but it seems such a shame to waste some of the lovely shop bought cards that I received last year.

Again it has been simply cutout and matted and layered.Even the sentiment was part of the card. It can't get much easier than that!

April Rudolph Day

These Rudolph Days seem to come round faster and faster! I hope you're all keeping safe and well.
This month I have done some upcycling as I wasn't feeling very creative!

I thought the scene on this bought card was too pretty to through away, so I cut it down and added some gold ribbon. Very easy peasy!

I seem to have less crafting time than I normally do and I think that is down to hubby making me go for a state- sanctioned walk every day and constantly finding things for me to do, like building Ikea bookcases for him! I had expected my son to build them but social distancing put a stop to that and I've now got the bruises to prove it!

Go green!

We're going green at Make My Monday! Well not literally, we want you to do some upcycling.I have used a Japanese Christmas card as they are always too lovely to throw away. Last year's was particulary pretty, but  my photo really doesn't do it justice.
I merely cut the front off as I didn't want to lose any of the picture, then matted it onto some dark blue pearlescent paper - also upcycled. It was the backing sheet from a Clarity Stamp stencil, also too nice to put in the bin.  I added some gold ribbon across the corners then matted that onto gold foil card, before adding to a white card blank. The picture itself has lots of gold embossing on it. Here's a close up. All the little specks are gold.

As it's also time for Rudolph Day again, this is my entry.
