Trees and Leaves

I can't believe how fast this month is going, here we are over half way through September already, and it's time for another challenge at Cardz for Guyz. There's lots of autumn themed challenges around and this one is noe exception, as we want to see trees and or leaves on your card.

When I was sorting out my box of pre stamped part made bits I came across this topper that I had foiled.

I used , copper gold, green and red foil . In real life it is very pretty. I mounted it on copper and then gold mirri card, which looks a bit like tortoiseshell in the photo!

I took this one to try to show the shine.

There's a whole heap of inspiration on the challenge blog, so why not pop over and have a look.

I'm also entering the challenges at:

Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge

It's time for the firat of the Happy Little Stampers Challenges for April. As always it is Anything Goes with an optional twist.

While I was doing some tidying up I found some printed cards for foiling so I dug out my Minc foiling machine which I hadn't used for ages. So it then took me some time to find the instructions and the carrier for it. I used some copper foil, then blended Distress Oxides across the card and sprayed with water to help the colours blend.

Then I used the sameinks and a water brush to colour the image. Here's another phoyo to shoe the shine.

Do check out the rest of the DT's work and hope to see you playing along.

Butterflies.

WOW - two posts from me in one day!

Mrs A's butterfly challenge is to use teal and or texture. I think I've managed both with this card.  The die and

embossing folder were the freebie on the latest Diecutting Essential magazine. I cut the two butterflies out a second time and covered the with foil using the Minc. The Happy Birthday die was also a freebie on a Tattered Lace magazine. I actually thought the letters were joined together until I cut them - fortunately I'd put doublesided tape on the back before cutting them as they are very tiny! To make it easier to attach them reasonably straight I embossed the die onto the card so I had a faint outline to use to line the letters up.

As well as The Butterfly challenge I'm going to join in at Cuttlebug Mania who want butterflies and the Playground  as the teal card was a snippet.
