Sunny Summer days

The new challenge at Cardz for Galz is Sunny Summer Days! There's not much sign of sun here today (Tuesday) though, very grey but also very warm and humid. Not my favourite type of weather. But at least my card is sunny!
I used a sunburst die from SU which has sat unused in my stash since I bought it. The stamps are from two Simon Says Stamp sets, the paper from my snippets box. Make sure you check out the challenge blog to see what the rest of the team has made.I'm entering this into the Playground as well.

Hint of Summer

I'm late, I'm late! It's time for the new challenge at Make My Monday and I'm running very late! Had a problem with the laptop and can't do the posts on the Ipad, but I'm here now!
This fortnight the challenge is "Hint of Summer" and I think the weather has taken the hint as it's a beautiful day here, sunshine, blue sky and a gentle breeze.
On to my card and I've used some more of the stash I re-discovered when moving everything. This time it's some papers and toppers that were another magazine freebie and I think are made by Hunkydory. A peel off dragonfly from even longer ago added the final touch.

Those lazy days of summer at Make My Monday

Lazy Days of Summer is the new challenge at Make My Monday. I found some 6x6 paper  which perfectly represented a hot summer's day ( I'm beginning to forget what they are!)

The little bikini die and sentiment stamp are from Simon Says Stamp. I added the birds to break up the background. I hope you can join us this week and don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's makes.

AUR - Summer or Autumn

Hello all, hope you all had a good festive break and that Santa was good to you!

I'm sneaking in at almost the last minute to the Always Use Rubber challenge, where the team want to see Summer or Autumn. So that means flowers for me, a nice change after all the Christmassy themes.

I lightly sponged the embossed background with blue ink to add a bit of colour to match in with the main image. The paper used was my first try with acrylic paper and watercolouring. It certainly has quite a nice texture but is a bit too creamy in colour for me.
