Sunny Summer days

The new challenge at Cardz for Galz is Sunny Summer Days! There's not much sign of sun here today (Tuesday) though, very grey but also very warm and humid. Not my favourite type of weather. But at least my card is sunny!
I used a sunburst die from SU which has sat unused in my stash since I bought it. The stamps are from two Simon Says Stamp sets, the paper from my snippets box. Make sure you check out the challenge blog to see what the rest of the team has made.I'm entering this into the Playground as well.

A Sunburst Get Well!

There's not been much crafting done here last week as I had the decorators in and everything was topsy turvy. But I had made this card a while ago and not shown it yet.

I made it for my partner's brother who suffered a severe stroke back in September. I thought something bright and cheerful was in order and I'd been wanting to try one of these sunburst cards for a while.  I found the measurements to make it on YouTube, where there are lots of videos to choose from. they all seem to be for American sized A2 cards though. As my mathematical brain wasn't working (lol) I just went along with them and added a couple of mats to make it more the size I wanted.

The papers were all from my snippets box and are retired DSP (but it is a good way of using some of those snippets. I added some bits of card embossed with the square lattice EF, and a  strip punched with the dotted scallop punch, which I thought was more masculine than ribbon! The sentiment is from the Label Love set and punched with the matching punch.

As I used lots of snippets  I'm taking it over to Pixies Playground  as they like lots of snippets there. If you've never visited - you should go and have some fun there.

You can order from my online shop at anytime  or email  if you prefer the personal touch .
