Allsorts Celebration

The Allsorts Challenge is celebrating this week. It is their 700th challenge! I thought this birthday card  would be a good entry, and would show that I have made something other than Christmas cards.

As my regular readers will know  we had twin boys living next door, but they moved a few months ago. My new neighbours have a very sweet little girl who has just had her third birthday. This is a very quick card that I made for her, as we only found out about her birthday the night before. The stamps are all Lawn Fawn, coloured with Copics, and I drew a wiggly frame to finish it off.

Digitally Sweet Challenge #103 - Oriental

It's Friday and time for a new challenge at Digitally Sweet. This week we are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine and I got to work with this gorgeous image "Lucky Bamboo Flower Pot Pretties.

I coloured her with copics before scanning back into my computer and adding her to a page made in Craft Artist.

Casology - Rainbow

The cue word over at Casology this week is "Rainbow" which gave me the perfect opportunity to use this fun stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. It was part of one of their monthly kits and I haven't had the opportunity to play with it till now. So it comes under the heading of NBUS(never before used schtuff!) I coloured the crayons with copics but used SU markers on the word "colour".  I'm so pleased as well that SSS has included both the American and British spelling of "colour" in the set. I am also entering this into Simon Says Wednesday challenge which is Anything Goes and Addicted to Stamps and More which is also Anything Goes.

Fishing!

I love this little boy from the Little Claire Designs Loverly Jubblies range. I have coloured him with Copics on a Spellbinders Square mounted on a piece of tartan paper from my stash. Card candy in each corner finishes it off. No sentiment as I don't yet know who I will be using it for!

Cards for men

This is the card I have made for the current Little Claire's challenge which is "Cards for men". I have used a Little Claire's Designs stamp from the "RWAV- Tree" set, coloured with Copics and cut out with nesties. I edged the white nestie with a touch of DI in Antique Linen just to take away some of the whiteness. Some card candy provided the finishing touches.I am alos entering it into Papertake Weekly's challenge which is Dads and Lads.

Less is More- One layer and a frame!

The challenge at Less is More this week is to make a one layer card that has to include a frame! After much thought I came up with this. I used another of the Kanban stamps from the recent QVC TSV stamped it with Memento black then coloured it with copics. I used YG23, R85,R20,R46 and R59. I enhanced the frame with a fine black liner. The sentiment was another Kanban stamp and I drew the frame round it by marking with dots where I wanted the corners then joined them with a wiggly line! I also added a bit of colour to the background of the image by dabbing DI Tattered Rose on with a make up sponge.

Sweet Spring

Here is today's effort!  I used the sketch from this week's Totally Papercraft, the papers are from Basic Grey, the image from Little Claire's Designs coloured with Copic Ciao pens, the sentiment I think is a Woodware one and the ribbon was from my Mother's Day flowers!! Perfect for cardmaking! I am entering this into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - For a Child

The ABC Challenge - Sugar and Spice

Lili of the Valley - Happy Birthday

Paper Piecing

The Copic Colour challenge this week is to use Y23 Yellowish Beige, RV11 pink and BV04 blueberry or as close as possible. I coloured Tilda's hair with E35 then added Y23 to highlight it. I also used the yellow on the dress bow and cuffs, I substituted RV10 and used that on dress trim and socks and BV04 for mittens and frills. The dress was paper pieced to fit in with the Just Magnolia challenge. I edged the image with Glimmer Mist sponged on but it came out a lot darker than I intended. Papers were from some that were sent to me as a birthday gift and the bows were out of my box of bits.
