Pink Rose

I 've made this card for this week's Friday Sketchers challenge. The stamp is an old Funstamps one that I bought when I first started making cards, embossed and coloured with Stardust pens. The papers are from the Nancy Watt collection from Making Cards magazine. Not sure about the flowers though - might have to change those.

Using Left Over Pieces

After making the fairy card yesterday I had lots of pieces leftover including a stamped image of another fairy. I decided to use them to do the Friday Sketchers Challenge for this week as they all seemed to fit the sketch quite nicely and mounted them onto a pink flower card blank. This week they are offering Ladybug & Friends stamps for the winner.

This Week's Friday Sketchers Challenge, Sketch 4

Well, I don't know where the time has gone but haven't had much time for crafting this week. So far have only managed to do two cards. This one is my entry for the Friday Sketchers Challenge.

I have used HOTP papers plus a freebie paper and the stamp is from Hampton Art.

Some New Challenge Cards

This week I have made two challenge cards so far. The first one is for Friday Sketchers . I used some Papermania papers and my first ( and only) Tilda stamp - well everyone else seems to have them so I thought I should get one too! The lacy border was some white paper sticky lace trim that I bought from a local craft store which is closing down, which I coloured with a brown brilliance ink pad then cut the lace in half lengthwise - very fiddly!! The image is coloured with Twinkling H2Os. I have to say I was quite pleased with the result.

The second one I used the Tilda again coloured in the same way but different colours for the Monday Challenge on the Docrafts forum and also for the challenge at Stamp Something, which is a Thank You challenge. The papers were some that had come with a magazine a long time ago.

Friday Sketchers Challenge

Last night at our craft meeting we did spirelli so I decided to use it for the Friday Sketchers challenge as one of the shapes I made was a rectangle. I have to admit I wasn't sure whether spirelli would be my "thing" but liked it more than I thought I would. I'm not sure that I'll be doing very much of it though - it seems to me to have a limited appeal. Anyway this is the card I made with it. I used a HOTP vintage collection paper as a backing paper. The copper rectangle is some Le Suh pearlescent swirl paper and added a papermania sticky ribbon. The flower in the centre is a peel off coloured with Stardust pens and decoupaged. Oh and the thread was Gutermann's Sulky variegated metallic.

New Challenge Sites

I've just found two new challenge sites for us cardmakers - how good is that? Stamp Something sets a new challenge each Friday. The first one ends tomorrow night and the theme is "First".

The second one is Friday Sketchers . Hopefully I'll find time to make something for both of them.
