I blended yellow, orange and lime green ink with blender brushes to make the background, then used the same colours and a water brush to colour in the flower. It is quite a large flower so I have ended up with a 7"x7" card.

A Watercolour Daffodil and Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus!
I have had this lovely Uniko daffodil stamp for at least a year and never used it, so the new challenge at Happy Little Stampers is the perfect time to use it as it falls on St David's Day! Alright so I am a little early but that's because of the time difference!

Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus!
Or for those of you who aren't Welsh speakers "Happy St David's Day! When I saw this Hobbyart stamp at the Make It show on Friday I knew it would be perfect for cards for Roy and his brother for today.
The first card was for Roy's brother. The sentiment was computer generated!
The second one which was actually the first one I made was for Roy. I fussy cut the stamp out and decoupaged one fo the flowers, then added a liberal coating of Wink of Stella which unfortunately doesn't show in the photo, which seems to be a bit wishy washy.
I'm entering this one into the following challenges:
Pixies Snippets - which is to use snippets
Darnell's NBUS challenge - use never before used stuff
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
Crafting from the Heart - Anything Goes

Dydd Gwŷl Dewi Sant hapus...
...or Happy St David's Day, and no, I'm not Welsh but my OH is! So I made a couple of cards, both the same, one for him and one for his brother who is in a nursing home severely disabled after a major stroke two years ago.
I used a beautiful daffodil stamp from Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society. When I saw it I knew it was perfect for this. I coloured it with Spectrum Noir pencils,(the jury's still out on whether I like these or not) fussy cut it and mounted it on a deckled rectangle from my scraps box. The green dotty paper also came out of there so I am going to join in the fun over at the Playground. I did make another one as well for a colleague of OH but I'm afraid I forgot to take a photo before I gave it to him - it was a bit more feminine looking!

Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Sant hapus
Happy Saint David's Day! I know this was last Saturday but I couldn't blog the card in advance and the weekend just seemed to fly by! I'm not Welsh but the OH is, so I made this for him.
The daffodils are shrink plastic and were made a long time ago but never used ! The green borders are SU washi tape and the sentiment is hand written. (I decided to practise my calligraphy instead of using the computer!) Unfortunately Google let me down - I had to check the Welsh for "Happy Saint David's Day" as I wasn't sure I'd remembered it correctly - and it left both the word" Sant" out and the accent over the "w". I didn't think it looked right as I was writing it but never mind - he appreciated the thought! And that's all that matters!
Kathleen has reminded me that this fits the Less is More challenge (though not sure there is enough white space!)
