Paper Pieced Pants!

One of the blogs I follow frequently has paper pieced images onit and I always wonder hy I don't do more of it. Well this month the CAS Mix Up challenge is asking for paper piecing so I had to join in.

I had a rummage for a suitable stamp and found this old one from Little Claire Designs and thought it might make a good male card.

The scalloped rectangle is a Julie Hickey die. The papers are from my large stash of snippets so I'm also sharing at Pixie's Playground.

Embossed Christmas Tree

Well this card for CAS Mix Up was as difficult to make as my last two! I have never been successful embossing with dies as the card has always cut in places. This time was no exception with my Grand Caliber. So I dug out my Big Shot which I rarely use and it worked a dream.

I nked the die with Versamark so that I could add colour as well. I wish I'd gone with gold embossing powder now instead of green.

The die is an old one from Simon Says Stamp and has only been used a couple of times before as the diecuts are a bit fiddly to glue.
I'm also sharing this at CAS Christmas and Make My Monday.

Outlined Leaves

CAS Mix Up has a stencil challenge this month. I decided to join in as although I have a lot of stencils I rarely use them, so ir's maybe time to change that.

They are asking for stencil outlining.I found this stencil of leaves, (no idea of the make, but its blue and quite flimsy) and inked it with Distress Oxides, Cracked Pistachio, Squeezed Lemonade and Spiced Marmalade. I outlined with a Chocolate Chip marker and also ran it down the edge of the panel. The sentiment is from Pinkfresh.

Clarity Stamp Challenge and Cas Mix Up

This month Clarity Stamp Challenge is asking for masking to be used. I decided to use the stencil that was the latest from the NDC, together with some stamps from previous months. there was lots of maskinf to make the hills and river and to have the girl sitting at the front. Originally I doodled round the circle but deidn't like it ao had to cut it off!
The "Dream" sentiment is heat embossed in white.

I'm also entering this into the CAS Mix up challenge who want stamping, stencilling and one other technique. Mine is the embossing and diecutting.
