AUR - Summer or Autumn

Hello all, hope you all had a good festive break and that Santa was good to you!

I'm sneaking in at almost the last minute to the Always Use Rubber challenge, where the team want to see Summer or Autumn. So that means flowers for me, a nice change after all the Christmassy themes.

I lightly sponged the embossed background with blue ink to add a bit of colour to match in with the main image. The paper used was my first try with acrylic paper and watercolouring. It certainly has quite a nice texture but is a bit too creamy in colour for me.

Always Use Rubber - Festivals

There's a new challenge over on the Always Use Rubber challenge. The ladies on the team have set the theme as Festivals. You can use any festival you like as long as there is some rubber stamping on your creation. needless to say I have gone with Christmas as I still have a few cards to make.

The card was made using a recent magazine freebie and coloured with Copics. I added some die cut holly in the corners.

I've spent the last two days writing cards and wrapping presents to post -Ugh! I think I'm beginning to get withdrawal symptoms - I need to craft!

Butterfly Dream

I have been having a bit of a clear out in the craft room now that I think I have made enough Christmas cards for this year. As a result I made this card - all from the snippets and UFO box!

The butterfly was left over from a birthday present I made last February, the embossed background was a piece I had embossed and never used, and the pink paper and diecut sentiment were snippets.
Obviously I am taking this over to the Playground as I haven't been there for quite a while and it also fits the theme of "Things with Wings" at Always use Rubber. I'm delighted to say I won the October prize there.
