Hello all, hope you all had a good festive break and that Santa was good to you!
I'm sneaking in at almost the last minute to the Always Use Rubber challenge, where the team want to see Summer or Autumn. So that means flowers for me, a nice change after all the Christmassy themes.
I lightly sponged the embossed background with blue ink to add a bit of colour to match in with the main image. The paper used was my first try with acrylic paper and watercolouring. It certainly has quite a nice texture but is a bit too creamy in colour for me.
A lovely card Sue and such pretty colours. Barbxx
ReplyDeletePretty and delicate and pink which I adore. I know what you mean about the slightly creamy colour of the paper. You do get used to it. Hugs Mrs A. Wishing you a Happy New year.
ReplyDeleteReally pretty colours Sue, gorgeous stamp and EF, lovely card.

Gorgeous card! Such a pretty image, love your watercolouring. The embossed background is fabulous too. I have not tried acrylic paper yet. Your first try with it is brilliant! xxx
ReplyDeleteThis spring floral is just so refreshing. I love flowers, and I'm ready for spring motifs too! Love the layout, and what a pretty embossing effect. The colors are happy and cheerful, and I like the way you've placed the elements on this card. Happy New Year, and I hope you can get some welcome sunshine. We've enjoyed it.Our 2 worst winter months are what we'll be facing once we return home. It's been a nice break for us, weatherwise, and always wonderful to be with the DD. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteI love the soft sponging around the flowers! It makes them really show off! Pretty embossed background too!
