Monday is here again! I hope you all had a good weekend. Our challenge at Make My Monday this week is set by Laura and she has chosen "Wedding Themed" I don't get to make many wedding cards these days so now I've made one I just need to find someone who is getting married!
I have kept it fairly simple. I cut out a heart and stamped a sentiment on it in silver. Then I stamped and punched lots of flowers and arranged them around the edge of the heart, and mounted it with dimensionals onto a white mat, which in turn was on a pink one and a silver one. A piece of ribbon finished it off. Told you it was simple!
Card recipe:
Cardstock: White scalloped card blank (non SU) silver foil, Primrose Petals, Whisper White
Ink: Primrose Petals, silver encore
Stamp set: Petite Petals, sentiment (non SU)
Misc: Petite Petals punch, ribbon from retired artisan embellishment kit.

Hardwood Than You
We spent a really pleasant weekend in Cheltenham visiting my "almost" step-daughter and her partner. We went so they could take her Dad out for his birthday which was last week. We had a trip out into the Cotswolds for afternoon tea at a teashop in Broadway, then on Saturday had a trip to the National Arboretum at Westonbirt. It was a pity the weather wasn't better as it was a bit grey and damp!
When we got back I rustled up a quick card as a thank you. I used a retired Thank You stamp, the background hardwood stamp which is very popular at the moment and the Petite Petals stamp set and punch. The leaves were punched with the owl builder punch. I used Coastal Cabana and Melon Mambo ink. it looks as though there is rather a lot of white at the top but the panel looked perfectly central in real life! As Dynamic Duos have picked melon mambo and turquoise
for their challenge this week I am going to enter this over there even though I have used a different turquoise.

Last Chance for Sale-a- Bration and Trifold Card
Just a quick post to remind you that Sale-a-Bration ends on Monday. So if you would like to get some of these gorgeous papers you need to hurry. To showcase them for you I made a tri-fold shutter card. This paper is so pretty it needs little extra embellishment, and I have been hoarding it instead of using it!
I added a few flowers stamped with Petite Petals and punched out with the matching punch. The sentiment is also a Sale-a-Bration set, See Ya Later, which I cut out with the Deco labels framelits. While it was still in the die I drew round it with the fine nib of a marker in Coastal Cabana, then carefully filled in the edge it left with the brush tip to give the illusion of a very narrow mat. With hindsight I think I should have put the sentiment on the centre panel - I might try and move it.
As the little flowers and sentiment all used snippets I have just managed to sneak this into the Playground at the last minute!
I'm afraid my posts and commenting have been a bit sparse just lately - other things such as work on house and garden are getting in the way. Hope to get back to normal soon.
