After cutting the trees out for the two red and white cards I had the negatives left and decided to see if I could use them for a card as well.( Incidentally I did manage to get hold of some waxed paper of that well-known auction site and it made cutting the tree out sooooo much easier! ) Here is the first one.
I put some red patterned paper (from SU Candlelight Christmas DSP) behind the aperture, mounted it onto some red glimmer card for a bit of sparkle, then onto a red card blank. Some glimmer ribbon and some rhinestones finished it off. I have to say I was quite pleased with the way it turned out.
The second one I made in gold and cream.
I put some gold patterned vellum behind the aperture although it doesn't show very well in the photo .Another piece of white card behind that and then mounted onto a piece of gold holographic card.I ran some gold glitter glue round the edge of the aperture to make it stand out and finished the whole thing off with some gold ribbon.
