I'm a "darling" and Patchwork!

I was just so excited to see that my card here has been chosen bu Erna as a Dynamic Duos darling! Thank you so much Erna!!

Onto today's card. My scrap box is getting over full so decided to try a technique I had seen in blogland. I punched some scraps of patterned paper with the scallop square punch and stuck them to a piece of Calypso Coral card (another scrap but a larger one). I then embossed it with the fancy fan folder which sort of blended it all together. Another couple of scraps used  for the sentiment.

The ribbon wasn't a scrap! The whole thing then mounted onto a cream square card.  The scrap box is still overflowing though! I am taking this over to Pixie's playground. It will be my first visit there but probably not my last!

  1. Welcome Sue! The Playground is wet right now but I reckon the little horrors are huddled up in the treehouse cooking up mischief!

LOVE this card - the embossing after layering card snippets onto a background works brilliantly, must try that one.

Hope to see you again :)

  7. Hello Sue, this is such a good idea for using up snippets - I think the embossing makes quite a difference, making it almost look like real patchwork. It seems that no matter how many snippets, leftovers and scraps are used there is still always heaps left - I think they breed in the night :) Elizabeth xx
