Digitally Sweet Challenge # 73

Welcome to this week's challenge at Digitally Sweet. We are sponsored by Digi Darla and I have chosen to use the precoloured version of Love Bug. This could be for an anniversary or Valentine's Day. It seems a bit early for Valentine's even though Blogland seems to be awash with them.

I used a digikit called Butterfly Kisses from Kreative by Karen  and Craft Artist 2 to make my card. Over here in the UK we only send to our partner/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend/wife  or someone we hope will become one of those!  We follow the traditional association of the day as described in Wikipedia:-

The day was first associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. In 18th-century England, it evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). Valentine's Day symbols that are used today include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass-produced greeting cards.[6]

  1. Fabulous heart and some lovely embellishments, not really sure about the ice-cream unless someone you know loves ice-cream.

    1. The ice cream is the Digitally Sweet watermark!

  2. How funny about the ice cream! It kinda does look like an embellie. Beautiful card front! (I'm still chuckaling!)

  3. This is fantastic Sue. Very striking card.

    Happy weekend to you.

    Hugs, Sarn xxx
