I stamped the ship with Soft Suede onto a circle of Very Vanilla ,sponged some Soft Sky around it and added a frame cut out of a snippet of Crumb Cake card. The idea was that it should look like a porthole. Then I repeat stamped the background writing stamp onto Very Vanilla, stamped the map three times across the middle using Soft Sky and sponged Soft Suede around the edges. I stamped the anchor onto a scrap of crumb cake card, fussy cut it out and punched a hole at the top to thread the linen thread through. The sentiment is from Bring on the Cake. As I have used some snippets I'm going to pay a visit to the Playground as I haven't been there for a while and it's time to see what mischief everyone is getting up to. If you have no idea what I'm talking about - why don't you go and take a look- always something fun going on.

The Male Room Vintage Challenge
Hello and welcome to a new challenge in The Male Room. This week the theme is "Vintage" and as always has to be for a male! I wasn't really sure exactly what I was going to do, the only thing that was a definite was to use The Open Sea stamp set, and this is what I ended up with.

I like it! Not too much not too little. The background could pass for a ship's log and the anchor and twine are the perfect finishing compliments to finish the card. The globe maps on either side keep the focus on the ship. VERY well done.
ReplyDeleteKiller card! I love the color combo~
ReplyDeleteWell Sue I not only like it, I LOVE it!! Brilliant card and the ship is great. Men are so difficult to please and this card will appeal to most men, that do not have a hobby or interest. Hugs, Carol S.xx
