The lovely Darnell is hosting her third NBUS challenge.
For those of you who don't know this term it means " Never Before Used Schtuff"!
Just before Christmas - exactly a week before- my son and family moved into their new house. Up till now they have lived in military accommodation, but as he has just taken up his last posting before leaving the RAF they decided to buy. Of course this meant a new home card had to be made and I had the perfect stamp set for it - the SU Holiday Home set, which is now retired. I will be keeping it though as I love the different houses and is useful for so many occasions. So here is the card I made them.
It's a gorgeous card, the background spongin looks fab. Thanks for joining us at ATSM.
ReplyDeleteLovely card! Perfect for a new home!! I also love your coloring!! Thanks for playing along with at Addicted to Stamps and More!!!
ReplyDeleteWow Sue, such a great New Home card. Just perfect in fact.
ReplyDeleteI only just squeaked in to buy that stamp set and hadn't realised that it's now retired - most unusual for me to hit lucky and not miss the boat!
Hugs
Di xx
Your card is so cute Sue and I love all the little houses! Thank you so much for joining us this week at ATSM xx

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Sue, love how you've coloured it, so effective, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteSuperb new home card. Hope your son and family will be happy in their new abode. x
ReplyDeleteAwesome card for a new home! I really hemmed and hawed over if I should get that stamp set or not. I decided to pass... maybe regrettably.
ReplyDeleteLove the way you coloured the one house and popped it forward. Looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHello Sue, love your new home card. That stamp does look versatile too. Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeleteVery nice card...and as others have said in comments before mine.."It's a perfect card for a New Home card!"
ReplyDeleteThis is quite sensational, Sue! I would have thought to stamp the house in the black and white, but not to go the extra mile and first sponge a colored background behind them which makes them WAY more spectacular!! And, of course, only coloring the middle house is so fun! Good job in simply popping another sediment over the boo-boo! Quick thinking and I actually like the result! A happy accident!! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #3! I hope you're having a great week!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteWhoo-Hoo!!! What fun to be popping back to congratulate you on the Honorable Addict win at ATSM, Sue!! Hugs, Darnell
