.....a good day! I have had a day off from hospital visiting and for once have achieved what I wanted to do!! Other days off have either not gone to plan or I have just been too tired to do much.
But today I have done mundane things like changing the bed linen, getting it washed and dried (not ironed yet - my ironer (Roy) not being available I'm going to have to do it myself and I hate ironing), sorted out the fountain in the pond as it was clogged up and done the shopping. I also called in the garden centre for a couple of plants for the garden and some craft stuff just happened to fall in my trolley. One item was sa Sheena Doudlass stencil of hills and I've even managed to have a play with it and made a card for Less is More!!
It is more colourful IRL but the light wasn't very good when I took the photo. The house is a Clarity stamp, coloured with Spectrum Noir pencils. I stamped the sentiment in sepia but think it would have been better in black.
I'm pleased to say Roy is improving albeit VERY slowly. He has been assessed and put on the waiting list for a bed in the neurorehab centre in Woking. It's further away for me to visit but he will be getting the specialist rehab he needs, and hopefully will improve faster.
I am so grateful for all the positive vibes and good wishes I have had from fellow bloggers - you really are great!
Lovely make and that image is simply splendid

YAY - you found some "me time" and made a card . . . plus you did the chores . . . well done that Woman! Keep your chin up Honey.
ReplyDeleteWill keep fingers (and everything else) crossed that Roy continues to make a good recovery and that he gets the specialist help he needs.
Hugs, Sarn xxx
the house stamp is so cute and different and I love the rays of your sun. It sounds like you got a ton of stuff done on your day off from the hospital! I'm so glad you were able to get some crafting done and relaxing for yourself. I hope Roy gets admitted to the neurorehab soon so they can get started on his rehab there. Sending hugs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute house in the hills Sue!
ReplyDeleteHope the rehab gets started soon for Roy.
Thank you very much for joining us.

Will keep my fingers crossed that that waiting list moves quickly. Roy needs that help to fully recover.
ReplyDeleteYour card is so pretty. The stencilled hills look great with that sweet house stamp!
Isn't it great to get some time to do your own thing? Sounds like you got a lot done in such a relatively short time. Your card is stunning.
ReplyDeleteHope your ironer gets better pretty soon. Never met a craft person who likes ironing!! Unless it is for crafting purposes of course!
Hugs

This is such an adorable cottage and you've placed in so snugly in the hills! Love that sunshine! I'm so glad you had a day off to catch up and enjoy yourself. I keep you and Roy in my prayers. Stay strong and take time to care for yourself. Sending hugs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great little scene Sue and it's such a brilliant use of white space too!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much
