I made this card a few days ago for this week's LIM challenge but have only just got round to uploading it. We had a few ups and downs this week - Roy managed to move his neck awkwardly with the result we had to have an unanticipated trip to the chiropractor followed by an unexpected visit from a friend from France.
Anyway on to the card I used a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped the waves with Adirondack Denim and the boats with black Versafine. I was going to paper piece them but wasn't sure that it would qualify as one layer, so coloured them instead with Spectrum Noir pencils.
I'm entering this as well into the following challenges which all have a "sea" theme.

Lovely card Sue, perfectly CAS. I've had an email from Darnell about meeting up in Southampton - have you heard from her too? I'm going, and happy to drive, if you would like to come with me that would be great

I love your fresh summery card Sue. They are beautiful stamps. I hope Roy's neck is feeling better now. It sounds painful and quite frightening. Barbxx
ReplyDeleteLove the image and the design is brilliant. Great colours. I hope Roy is on the mend. Hugs, Carol S.xx

I LOVE this card Sue - so fresh and summery and just perfect for LIM! Oh, I spotted Jane's comment about meeting up with Darnell in Southampton - I do hope you can make it! I'll be there needless to say and Mrs A is coming along to join in as well :) Haven't told her that the duck pond at the Grand Hotel has been filled in (that's true, and such a shame as it was a lovely outside feature) so am waiting to see if she arrives lugging a diving board and her woollen cossie :)

I hope Roy is feeling better and his neck is okay. This is a soothing card and makes me want to sail away. Your water and waves are so inviting and water is so calming.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute card. Full of whimsy, light and airy. Your waves are wonderful and those boats are just the cutest. Well balanced, well done design. Great job and I want to thank you so much for joining us at MMM. Looking forward to seeing you again for our next challenge 'In the Garden'.
