After I had made this card, Twofers
announced their current challenge was to use the sentiment as the focal point as well. So I made a more feminine version.
The backing paper was supposed to be a Christmas one but I never thought it looked very Christmassy. However the background is vanilla so it mans I can also enter this over at Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge which is V for vanilla and or vases. I didn't manage a vase though.
Lovely card Sue - last week when I saw the card you made for Cardz 4 Guyz I thought "I wish she'd kept it back until Saturday because it would have been perfect for Twofers- if only she'd known!" so I'm very glad you made another. And I agree, that paper is FAR too pretty to keep just for Christmas

I'm pretty sure this is just what Jane had in mind for her challenge this fortnight. The paper is very pretty and not at all Christmassy great idea to use it here. Congratulations on finding an entry to Mrs A's challenge got me a bit stumped this time. thank you for joining us at Twofers and we hope you will be back with us in October. XOXO

ReplyDeleteI really like how you have changed the impetus of the background paper. Does not look at all Christmassy here. Love the rich colour of the butterflies. Thank you for fluttering by my challenge. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteSorry I didn't comment yesterday but no idea why but when I went in to comment no pictures would show up, so I could not comment on what I could not see.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous papers, great dies and a brilliant design.

I love the crispness of the red and white! You're right. The paper doesn't look that Christmasy! It's perfect for this!
