So I inked a piece of white card with several blue inks, this is the second attempt. On the first I had a go at flicking water on it and dabbing it off with a piece of kitchen towel, but I think I was a bit heavy handed with the flicking as it looked a smudgy mess!. I stamped the flowers from Serene Silhouettes with black archival ink and then added the vertical sentiment.

Less is More - Ombre
Yay!! I have a card for Less is More - that's two weeks running!! This week the ladies have asked for Ombre, which is a technique I've not used before.

For your first time blending ombre you've created a wonderful effect. Love the silhouette you chose to.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x
I think you captured the ombre look really well. Sometimes it takes a few times to get the hang of something new and I've pitched a lot of cardstock trying a new technique. I can't seem to master flicking very well. Either too much or not enough water and I make blotches instead of pretty little spots. I like the vertical look of the image and sentiment.
ReplyDeleteGreat job with this new technique, and I love the silhouette image too! NJ!
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous! I have yet to get the flicking on Distress Ink to work for me, but you might be interested in this video where it looks terrible to me until she uses it for die cuts http://www.mftstamps.com/blog/love-is-in-the-air-friends-coworkers/
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely inky card. It has a serene feel to it!
