Watercolour for Cardz 4 Guyz! C4 Guyz

This week the challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz is "No Patterned Papers" . I was going to go down the CAS route, but changed my mind when I was looking through my box of NBUS stamps for Darnell's recent challenge as I found this unused stamp by Michael Powell.  I bought it and another one at The Make It Show a few years ago, then wasn't sure what to do with them. Recently though I have been watching video tutorials on watercolouring and decided to have a go.

I used Distress markers and followed the colouring on the back of the stamp fairly closely. I have to say I was really pleased with my first attempt.

  1. Well I'm not surprised you're really pleased with it . . . it's FANTASTIC. I adore this card and think it would work well for either sex. Your watercolouring looks superb.

  3. You should be very proud of yourself.....your colouring is brilliant. Not the easiest image to start with either. Fabulous card. Hugs, Carol S.xx

  4. Wonderful colouring. These stamps are very detailed but I do love them. I have a couple of them but only tried using the beach huts on the sand so far to colour with. Love your card and you should be rightly pleased with yourself. Hugs Mrs A.

  5. I clicked to see a close up of this and I'm amazed that you could watercolour it so perfectly - I could never do that - it looks great.
