Sunny Summer days

The new challenge at Cardz for Galz is Sunny Summer Days! There's not much sign of sun here today (Tuesday) though, very grey but also very warm and humid. Not my favourite type of weather. But at least my card is sunny!

I used a sunburst die from SU which has sat unused in my stash since I bought it. The stamps are from two Simon Says Stamp sets, the paper from my snippets box. Make sure you check out the challenge blog to see what the rest of the team has made.I'm entering this into the Playground as well.

Pretty and Pearly at Cardz for Galz

Time once again for the new challenge at Cardz for Galz with a very feminine theme, Pretty and Pearly. I dug out  some NBUS stamps and dies to use. I thought the Orchid Builder set was so pretty when Stampin' Up! brought it out, that I just had to have it and it has sat unused ever since!

I used Raspberry Ripple and Mossy Meadow inks, with some Raspberry Ripple card.  I added some teeny pearls to the centres of the flowers. Do go and check out the rest of the DT's makes for some fab inspiration.

Mythical or Fantasy at Cardz for Galz

It's my turn to choose the theme at Cardz for Galz and I have gone with mythical or fantasy so you've got lots of scope there. Let your imagination run wild!  I have picked a fairy digital stamp from a Craft Artist kit, although I do think her wings look a bit like a bridal veil!

I've coloured herwith a mix of Copics and Promarkers and covered her wings with Wink of Stella so that they are very sparkly! I fussy cut her out then mounted her to the oval panel. That is made from a piece of paper left over fom a previous card, which just happened to be still on my desk, matted onto an oval of pink holographic card. The sentiment is cut from the sme pink card. The card base is SU  Wisteria Wonder. I'm trying to use up some of my coloured card as card bases rather than always use white pre-made card blanks. I'm looking forward to seeing your creations for this challenge.

In the Pink!

It's time for a new challenge at Cardz for Galz and we are going to be All Dressed Up!  I was sorting through the rather large pile of magazines at the side of my desk and one of them grom Debbi Moore had the perfect set of images and papers for the challenge.

The dress and shopping bags are decoupaged although my photography skills are not showing it! I  took a square card and folded the front back and covered it with paper from the same magazine,  before adding my image panel. The sentiment is a sticker that must have been a freebie at some time - possibly from Docrafts.

April Showers!

Hello and welcome! Time for a new challenge at Cardz for Galz where the theme is April Showers.
I have used some free stamps, die and stencil from Papercraft Essentials. in real life the colours are a lot brighter. I need to have a play with the settings on my camera as my photos are all coming out a bit wishy washy.

I stamped the frog with Memento Northern Pines and colored him with Copics. I die cut the puddle from white card then coloured it, finally adding some Glossy Accents once I'd put the card together. I've scheduled this post as I'm not sure how I'll be feeling on Thursday after some dental surgery on Tuesday.

Cardz 4 Galz

The theme at Cardz 4 Galz is black and white + one bright colour. This gave me the perfect chance to use some of the new release stamps from Happy Little Stampers.

I stamped the dandelions and sentiment  in Versafine Onyz Black. Then added colour with a stamp from a SSS set. The white background looked a little too stark so I dug out my spritzing tool and spritzed  black and yellow markers over it. A narrow black mat completed the card.

Buttons and Bows!

The new challenge at Cardz for Galz is Buttons and/or Bows. So I've made a nice easy card and used up some pretty papers too. Not that it's reduced the mountain much, think I'd need to make hundreds if not thousands to do that!

A Furry Friend!

It's time for a new challenge at Cardz for Galz. The theme is "Furry Friends"  I have made a fairly simple card. I found the 6x6 paper while i was looking for something suitable to use and rather liked the way it provided a frame.

The stamp is from a Kanban set bought a long time ago from QVC!. I thought the car looked a little haughty which is why I used this particular sentiment, which carries on  inside the card.

The new challenge at Cardz for Galz is "Rubber Stamping" lots of choice there for you.

I have chosen to make a one layer card using a NBUS Uniko stamp set.I coloured the flowers in with watercolour pencils. The card is textured so it has a nice finish to it.

Cardz for Galz - Think Pink!

I'm delighted to say that I am now a Cardz for Galz Design Team member. This is my first card for them.

 I liked the blue card I made HERE so much that I decided to make a pink one as well. But I did pretty it up a bit with some flowers and pearls.The stamps are from Uniko and the flowers are ancient from my stash. When I first started cardmaking I must have acquired quite a lot and have rarely used them. Dont forget to check out the rest of the DT's makes.
