Without more ado here is my card.
Ihad recently got some Tim Holtz Distress Spray, so after watching a couple of tutorials on YouTube I had a play.I started off spraying through a stencil, but must have been a bit heavy handed as I ended up with large blobs! That has been consigned to the pile of " maybe I can fix it later" bits. Then I decided to go for simple - and just sprayed lightly a few times on the card. When it was dry I blended Distress Oxides over it in Squeezed Lemonade and Spiced Marmalade.A rub over with a baby wipe revealed the spray, which has a slight sparkle to it .The butterfly and sentiment from
Butterfly Birthday were stamped in Versafine Onyx Black onto the card. I stamped the butterfly again onto some plain card and coloured it with the same inks. A mat of Cajun Craze and some black Nuvo drops finished it off.
Super card, Sue, your background turned out beautifully and the butterfly is really pretty. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Sue,
ReplyDeleteI love the background of your card. As if on the card someone poured sand. The colors of the butterfly match this background beautifully. Great card.
What a lovely CAS design Sue and the background technique worked really well!
