Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge

So here we are in 2019! I hope you have all had a lovely time over the holidays, but now we are back to business with the first of the Happy Little Stampers challenges.

I was rapidly running out of time just before Christmas when I made this card and found texture and watercolour difficult to combine, so went with an embossing folder to add the texture.

As I had also used my last sympathy card in the previous week I decided to make at least one to have in my stash of cards. The stamp I used is an old favourite from Little Claire, and I frequently use it for sympathy cards. I watercoloured it with DI Oxides. I had stamped the image and started colouring it before I remembered that SU cardstock doesn't really like water, but fortunately it didn't bubble like it usually does.

I do hope you will join in with us and look forward to seeing your creations.

  6. It's nice to know I wasn't the only one who initially drew a blank when putting watercolour and texture together. ;) And we definitely ended up on the same wavelength - purples, embossing folder, sympathy card! This has such a pretty CAS design. Happy New Year!
