The CAS Christmas challenge is asking to see silhouettes this month. Easy peasy right? Absolutely not! I had a couple of ideas in my head, none of which worked. So I rescued a bit of my inked background card and die cut a small square. Who would have guessed that when Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide is spritzed with water it would turn blue? But it did!
I stamped the mugs from a Gina K set that has been sitting unused since I bought it a couple of years ago, in laire Nocturne and added a scrap of gold glitter underneath.
This is fab Sue - love the mugs and the whole colour combo is lush! x
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card Sue! I love the mugs you used and they worked beautifully as a silhouette! Love your background too and I didn't know that the Rustic Wilderness ink turns blue when wet...thanks for the tip!! And thanks for sharing this beauty with us at CAS Christmas!! :0)
ReplyDeleteLove everything about this card Sue. x
ReplyDeleteI think a hot chocolate would go down a treat today Sue on this very grey day. A super card and I love your background colours x
ReplyDeleteFirst off I didn't realize there was a color called Rustic Wilderness in the DO line up! lol I am guessing it is a newer color, after the Robin's Egg Blue maybe? There are some other's that change color too in the distress inks line. I believe that one of the brown colors will change to green. Weird how that works! Your card is fabulous though, I love your inky background and those mugs. Glad you got them out and inked them up. They make a great silhouette! Yes, I will take a cup of hot chocolate! lol Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteI just love your pretty mugs with Holly and Jolly on them Sue! They look wonderful against your pretty inked background! I haven't spritzed my Rustic Wilderness DOX yet and will have to look for that color change! thanks for joining in my challenge at CAS Christmas! xx
ReplyDeleteGreat save Sue! I LOVE the orange and "blue" watercoloured background. Great colours together. And your hot cocoa mugs make the perfect silhouette. Love that you added some lovely sparkle at the bottom of your image. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Christmas!
