Twofer Flower Challenge

As usual with the Twofer challenge I've left it to the last minute to enter. I always think of it as a monthly challenge, which of course it is, but is only a fortnight long!

I used a new stamp set from Visible Image that I have reccently bought ready for a workshop next month. For my first card I stamped the flower, vase and stalk in black then coloured it with polychromos coloured pencils.

I trimmed and matted it with some orange card, added a sentiment and doodled round the edge.

For my second card I used just the flower head and embossed it in silver. Then sponged Speckled Egg, Milled Lavender and Spun Sugar DI over it giving it a very subtle look.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment onto a piece of torn vellum and wrapped it round the panel. And here are the two together.

I'm also sharing at the NBUS challenge.

  1. That's such a proud and pretty daisy in it's vase on your CASlicious birthday card, Sue, and I love the rest of the composition with the vertical sediment and doodled frame! I love how the orange matting draws the eye right smack to the flower star of the show! I also love the subtle colors of your all-over daisy background with a perfect torn vellum sediment! Thank you for playing in TCC #34 and sharing with everyone at NBUS! Keep safe and take care! Hugs, Darnell

  5. Such a lovely bright and happy single daisy in the vase, Sue ... deliciously crisp and clean! The soft sponging over the silver embossing on your congratulations card is subtle and elegant ... the vellum sentiment strip is perfect with it! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)

  7. Well at least you made it to the challenge unlike some of us! I love both of your twofer's Sue. Love how you placed the daisy in the vase of water, so nicely colored too. Then there is the embossed daisy heads on your second card, makes for a wonderful background for the vellum strip to go across. Two beautiful but different twofers, love them both! Hugs, Brenda
