NBUS challenge - GDT

I am absolutely delighted to have been invited by Darnell to be Guest Designer on her NBUS Challenge this month. It's a challenge I find very easy to play in as I'm sure a lot of you do too! The NBUS stash never seems to reduce, does it?

I have used a stamp that was a freebie with a magazine - maybe last Christmas or maybe even the Christmas before. I coloured with Copics before mounting on a red mat. It looks a bit skew-whiff in the photo but not in real life. I did have to look up the colouring for Turtle Doves, what would we do without Mr Google?
I'm looking forward to seeing your NBUS makes in the gallery, I might end up with an even bigger stash!

  1. A great card Sue and the doves would work equally well on an anniversary/wedding card too I think! Congrats on the DT spot!

  3. So true, Sue! I hear comments from players who are amazed that I haven't run out of NBUS. They don't realize how much they enable me month-after-month, lol! I love this sweet turtle dove design! Your coloring and matting are perfect! (Again, so true re Google. I must turn to Dr. G. a dozen times a day!) Thank you so much for being my Guest Designer this month!! Hugs, Darnell

  4. That image is lovely, I like the gentle look and it's beautifully finished with the red border. I find getting a good picture harder than making the card. Yours looks fine to me. x

  5. That stamp is lovely - what a find! The card is even lovelier! The doves are beautifully coloured and so elegant - love the touch of gold on the wings! I agree with Viv, it would make a lovely Winter Wedding or Anniversary card - without the reference to the 12 days of Christmas of course!

  6. Susan, it's lovely to meet you at NBUS this month! Your card is beautiful and with such a wonderful stamp. Many times I've been tempted to buy a magazine just for the stamp that comes with it. I keep trying to get to the bottom of my NBUS baskets, but I never quite get there... yet.

  9. Congrats on you're being asked to GD over at the NBUS challenge Sue! I love your card. Like you, I'd have no clue on how to color the turtle doves so would have to Google myself. Which I find I do quite a lot on many different things. lol Love your image and love your coloring. Yes, way to many NBUS and most are older than the hills. Hugs, Brenda
