New Home

I made this card for my son and daughter -in-law who are moving house. The freebie stamp with the September issue of Craft Stamper was just perfect! I stamped a row of houses in black then coloured and decoupaged just one to make it stand out.

Rainbow Lady Challenge - Swirls and Flourishes

Rainbow Lady's challenge this week is swirls and flourishes. I thought I'd make an ATC for this one although I'm not really into ATC's at all , but they are useful for using up scraps or trying out something new. I used another freebie stamp from Craft Stamper.

Take it easy- no2

I really like this stamp which was free with the June issue of Craft Stamper. I don't make many men's cards and find this fits the bill a lot of the time! I had sent for the sample pack from the Stamp Bug and mad this card using the design in the magazine and the contents of the pack. This included a Castaway stamp pad which I have used on the background following the instructions in the magazine, but I don't think I can be doing it right as it didn't seem to work very well. You have to stamp the image on dark paper, leave it to dry then iron it and the colour fades to show a sort of bleached image. The image was then stamped again randomly on the background using a beige and a brown inkpad from the Brilliance range. The main image was stamped and embossed in gold on black pearlescent card. If anyone has used the Castaway pad I'd be interested to hear if it worked for you so please leave me a comment.
