Something New for Spring

The challenge this week at Make My Monday is "Something New" I have used a brand new set of stamps from Concord and 9th . I really, really like these turnabout stamps. This one is called Eveyday Bouquet.

I have gone with some spring colours and mounted ir onto a lovely bright yellow. Make sure to visit my teamies to see what they have made, and hope tou will join in too.

What's new?

At Cardz for Galz we are looking for something new. It can be a new to you technique or new stash. I've used some new stamps from the Simon Says Stamp monthly kit.

 I stamped the mermaid then masked her off while I brushed distress oxides across the paper using Stormy Sky, Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio, then spritzed it with water and blotted it  Then I stamped the seaweed and fishes and removed the ink with some water and blotted again. I coloured everything with Copics. If I made it again I would do it all in watercolour as stmping in Memento for the Copics didn't work very well with the Distress oxides and water!

My New Blog

I've spent quite a lot of time reading other crafty blogs in the last few days and have decided I need one of my own. There's lots of card challenges out there, some of which I've done, but without a blog I can't join in. Also it's somewhere to show off the cards I've made. I'm afraid it will be a bit basic until I get the hang of it! I belong to the Docrafts forum and have some cards in my gallery there. Hope to get some on here soon.
