I chose one that was definitely yellow and grey rather than yellow and black. The yellow is quite subtle though. I cut it with a Spellbinders dexkle edge rectangle die then mounted it on a small scalloped rectangle. To add a bit of interest I used my new Penny Black border die around the edge of the card blank.

Less is More - Yellow and Grey
This week the ladies at Less is More are asking for yellow and grey. It's quite a while since I joined in but as soon as I saw it I knew I had some cards left over from a Simon Says kit that would fit the bill.

Jungle Fun!
Time for a new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz. This week it is Jungle Fun! I have gone with elephants.
I used a NBUS Creative Expressions stamp. I had used some of the others in the set but not the elephant. I did some masking so I could have a small herd. The leaves are a Lavinia Stamps stamp, and the grass is one from Stampin Up.
From today the challenge is going to be two- weekly for a trial period over summer, so you have plenty of time to join in.

This is what I have been making over the last few evenings! One octopus and three flat jellyfish.
I have made them for the Octopus for Preemies group on Facebook who supply them to premature babies across the country.

Flowers in the Rain
It's time for a new challenge over at Quirky Crafts. We want to see your creations featuring music/song. There are prizes too!
I'm showing my age here!! The song is "Flowers in the Rain" by The Move (1968). I used delicious Doodles " Floral Elegance" coloured with Chameeleon pens and fussy cut. The background is a piece of blue card sponged with some blue inks and the stamped with a "Raindrops" stamp from designs by Ryn. And just to make sure there was no mistake about the song I added it across the bottom. I'm also entering this into the Allsorts challenge who want music themed creations.

Cat in a Hat
The new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz, chosen by Jane is "Inspired by a Book or Music". After rejecting all sorts of books I eventually settleon Dr Seuss' Cat in a Hat.
Tim Holtz's Crazy Cats were perfect for this! I sat him inside a frame and added a compter generated sentiment. Please remember your cards must have a male theme/ I'm loking forward to seeing what you come up with. There's lots more inspiration for you on the challenge blog.

May Flowers - Twisted Pop Up.
Happy May Day to you all! It's time for a new challenge at Make My Monday and it's my turn to choose the theme -and I've gone with a nice easy one - May flowers. So let's see some pretty flowers on your makes!
I recently had a go at a Twisted Pop up card for my SIL's birthday , which I haven't blogged yet, and decided to make another one for the challenge.
They are surprisingly easy. I have used some old K & Co papers from my stash , and a diecut sentiment for the inside. The flower on the front is a stamped and fussy cut one from an Altenew set, Peony, I think.
Please do check out the wonderful inspiration from my teamies and I like forward to seeing all your makes.

April Rudolph Day
I thought I hadn't managed to join in with last month's Rudolph Day (but I had ) so I compensated by making two this month! The first one was really really easy! I had kept a triangular shaped card we received at Christmas and used it as a template. I've got some Kanban card from a Christmas kit bought a long time ago from QVC and thought this might be a good way of using it up. It is just a triangle shape and two score lines with the bottom shaped so it stands. I stamped a greeting and embossed it in gold onto a snippet of green card and added it to the front.
My second card is also using up some old stash. This time it is from a Papermania pad that I thnk was in a goody bag. The paper is actually a pale blue but it was a bit gloomy when I took the photo and the flash has washed out the colour. I added some stickles to his hat and the ribbon is from my stash as well.
I'm going to pop over to the Playground as well as it's a while since I've been there.

Edited to add: Thanks for the hint Carol I'm also entering this at Winter Wonderland.

70th birthday
It was Roy's 70th at the beginning of the month and this is the card I made him instead of this one. The digi image was another from Dr Digi, coloured with copics in what I hope were the Welsh Rugby team's colours. I even added a very small splodge of white to represent the Prince of Wales Feathers.
I cut the numbers out with SU dies and added 3 thicknesses of card to make it stand out. He seemed to like it!!

Shades of Brown
It's time for a new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week we are looking for Shades of Brown. I was originally going to use this image from Dr Digi for Roy's birthday as part of his therapy is to do some exercises every morning using a weight. But I went down a different route for that! However I thought it really lent itself to this challenge.
I coloured him with copics and fussy cut him out. The background papers are out of my stash and the sentiment is from Penny Black. Do try and join in the challenge but remember your makes must be for a male.
