The new challenge at Cardz for Galz is "Rubber Stamping" lots of choice there for you.

I have chosen to make a one layer card using a NBUS Uniko stamp set.I coloured the flowers in with watercolour pencils. The card is textured so it has a nice finish to it.

Something beginning with L

Hi and welcome back to a new challenge at Cardz for Guyz, where this time we want to see something beginning with L. I discarded the obvious like lamb and lion and went for light bulb instead!

I found some nice yellow spotty paper to use as a background - I really need to use up some of the huge amount of papers I have. Then I matted everything on to black. The stamp set is from a Simon Says Stamp monthly kit.

Going round in Circles!

That sounds like me at the moment! I thought I had got most of my DT cards organised for the next few weeks, but I had completely forgotten this one! So it has been made in a bit of a hurry for the challenge at Make My Monday.

I die cut a circle out of the middle of a scrap of white card and backed it with another snippet of yellow. The sentiment was stamped using my trusty Misti, it is a very old SU stamp. The finishing touches were some brightly colored enamel dots.

I decided to use another NBUS item or two! The patterned stockings are stamped then diecut with the toe,heel and top added on top. The middle stocking I just die cut so I could add my heart.

The background expression is a Creative Expressions folder Twisted Holly. Im afraid I still haven't got back into my house so the photos have been taken on the kitchen worktop which is not the best background.

Cardz for Galz - Think Pink!

I'm delighted to say that I am now a Cardz for Galz Design Team member. This is my first card for them.

 I liked the blue card I made HERE so much that I decided to make a pink one as well. But I did pretty it up a bit with some flowers and pearls.The stamps are from Uniko and the flowers are ancient from my stash. When I first started cardmaking I must have acquired quite a lot and have rarely used them. Dont forget to check out the rest of the DT's makes.

And I'm delighted to say that I have found my Brushos -yay! So I had a play with them and used some scarlet and purple on watercolour card. My original idea was to use it as a background but it evolved into a diecut heart instead! The die is a Tim Holtz set - Scribbles and Splat!

I mounted it on a panel cut with a Penny Black die and inked round the edges with Distress Oxides. The sentiment is from Uniko.

Once again there is lots of fabulous inspiration from my fellow DT members.

 

Cardz for Guyz - Music

It’s new challenge time at Cardz for Guyz and this time we want to see cards with Music as the theme. By sheer luck a magazine I had just bought had a set of free music related stamps with it.

I used the drum kit which I stamped in black and clear embossed, then coloured with Promarkers. The sentiment and music notes are from the same set. A rummage through my papers and a nice bright sheet seemed to go well with the image. As always please check out the other DT makes, and hope to see you joining in.

Rudolph Day Jan 2018

This is one of the cards I made while at the HLS Craft retreat back in November. I saved it to post for this month’s Rudolph Day challenge as I knew I probably wouldn’t get time to make one this month. Although it doesn’t show up in the picture it is a light up card, with the light at the top of the middle tree.

The stamp is from one of the lovely sets from HLS, which Kylie very generously gave us at the retreat. 

Floral Fancy Folds

I'm afraid I was unable to make a card for the last  Make My Monday challenge as I was unable to get near my craft room as the builders were working just outside it. If I hadn't had this one unblogged I wouldn't have had one this week either. The theme is fancy folds.

I made this one for my sister-in-laws birthday last year and for some reason it never got blogged. The papers are some very old K&Co ones. The flowers are a SU set - Flower Shop. There's some great inspiration on the challenge blog so do pop over and visit the rest of team.

Shades of Blue

Well I managed to get into my craft room while the builders were elsewhere in the house and make my DT card for Cardz 4Guyz. The theme is Shades of Blue so I decided to use some new stamps from Uniko. I coloured the background stamp with 3 shades of blue Copics, the stamped the Hugs sentiment in a dark blue over the top using the Misti of course.

I also coloured the card blank with one of the Copics to make sure it matched my panel. Don’t forget to visit my teamies over on the challenge blog for lots more inspiration.
