Shades of Blue

Well I managed to get into my craft room while the builders were elsewhere in the house and make my DT card for Cardz 4Guyz. The theme is Shades of Blue so I decided to use some new stamps from Uniko. I coloured the background stamp with 3 shades of blue Copics, the stamped the Hugs sentiment in a dark blue over the top using the Misti of course.

I also coloured the card blank with one of the Copics to make sure it matched my panel. Don’t forget to visit my teamies over on the challenge blog for lots more inspiration. 

Less is More Week 22 - Shades of Blue

When I saw that the challenge this week was Shades of Blue I thought it would be quite easy. Wrong !! I tried all sorts of stamped images and none of them seemed quite right so in the end I went for three shades of blue card and punched them using a Martha Stewart punch then layered them up. Stamped  Best wishes in blue and added a dark blue butterfly. That should have been the finished card but somehow I'd managed to smudge some blue ink in the bottom corner so covered that with another butterfly, then had to add another at the top to balance it! So not quite as much "white space" as I'd intended!
