Rudolph Day October

A really quick post from me this month for Rudolph Day.I completely missed last month. Life got really hectic then and hasn't stopped yet. Roy had to have emergency blood and iron transfusions plus lots of investigations to find out why he was so anaemic, then was diagnosed with heart failure because of the anaemia. I've lost count of the number of visits to the hospital and he's not out of the woods yet. He's having difficulty walking anywhere and needs a lot of help, so crfting time is non existent.

Fortunately I had got  ahead of myself so had a card ready for this month, Nothing very difficult just a large and old Kanban topper.

Sing Happy Birthday

It was my son's partner's birthday last month. I wanted to make her a card that was a bit personal and as she is a singer I thought this stamp set from Visisble Image fitted the bill perfectly.

I found a pretty gelliplate background that I had made some time previously and stamped directly on it. I enhanced the colour on the dress with Copics Some black glitter strips round the edge finished it off. I'm pleased to say she loved it!

Rudolph Day July

I'm still on my "use up old stuff" mission. This month I've used up some very old decoupage. I'm not sure where it came from, but probably Create and Craft.

I mounted it onto an embossed panel and then onto red cardstock. As the embossing said Merry Christmas there was no need to find a sentiment.

More Lights

I was quite pleased with the card I made for Rudolph Day in my last post, so while I had the dies out I made another. This time with scraps of glitter paper.

I definitely think this one is more Christmassy!

Rudolph Day - June 2024

I'm a bit late with my card for this month's Rudolph Day.We've been a bit busy with various medical appointments and the week just seemed to disappear.

Fortunately I had the set of dies sitting on my desk waiting to be used so I didn't have to go rummaging for anything! The dies are from Lawn Fawn and were part of my NBUS stash. The sentiment is one I've had for ages, but the packaging is long gone and I can't remember the make. The lights were all made from snippets.

Corp Clegg

Hubby liked his birthday card here so much that I had to make another similar one for an old Army mate!

Once gain I used a 6x6 sheet of paper from my stash for the background. Cpl Clegg was coloured with pencils and fussy cut. The sentiment was stamped in soft suede ink to match the mat.

Rudolph Day - May 2024

I've got two very quick and easy cards for this month's Rudolph Day. I had quite a lot of freebie patterned paper in my stash. These two sheets made two easy cards.

All I had to do was stamp the reindeer and a sentiment then mount the paper onto an A5 card. Some silver glitter strips round the edge finshed them off.

Rudolph Day April

I'm pleased to say that I have now used up all my old Dufex sheets!
I'm now on a mission to use some of the huge stash of coloured cardstock that I accumulated when I was a Stampin Up person!

There's nothing much more I can say about these except the mats and sentiments were cut out of a snippet of red mirri card.

Blue Birthday!

Earlier this month it was my youngest son's birthday. How can my baby possibly be 40!! Obviously I had to make a card which marked the occasion, much to his disgust!

After much thought for a suitable theme for him, which resulted in nothing, and hours spent on Pinterest,  I ended up with balloons and blue glitter paper. This week Allsorts challenge has chosen the perfect theme for it.  The balloons and number were all cut from snippets. I don't think I've actually got any complete sheets of glitter paper any more.

Birthday Salute!

Recently it was Roy's birthday and as he is still very miltary minded , even though he has been out of the army getting on for forty years, I thought that Cpl Clegg from Dr Digi was very appropriate.

I coloured him with pencils and added some gold paint for the buttons and end of the pace stick, and glossy accents for the boots. The background paper is a 6x6 sheet from my stash, which I thought made a nice frame, matted onto a piece of Sahara Sand card.
